Question about Televison & Video
Thanks for using FixYa. First of all do a hard reset by unplugging the TV for more than 4 hours and then plugging it back in and turn it on. If this doesn't work then there is a component failure which will require to be repaired.
The issue your TV is facing is occur due to some faults like a poor solder connection and bad capacitors right where the display panel connects the main board or a component failure on your video or DMD board. In case there is a defective failure in the screen, then complete panel replacement is required. But in the instant case it might be due to faulty video or DMD board. Either way it will need to be attended to by a technician if the reset fails who can isolate the problem and main cause of this condition by testing the device.
If the set is under warranty or any extended warranty, check it to save the cost of repair which will be imminent in case the reset fails which in any case will be around $300 for a poor circuit joint trace and fix or even more if the screen is defective or the VID/DMD fix is required. Therefore, before seeking the assistance of a technician, you should try the hard reset as illustrated above.
Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.
