Question about LG WM-2277HW Front Load Washer
I have the LG Tromm, WM2277HW. I followed the solutions and ordered the part as suggested. The instructions were very easy to follow and I changed out the sensor. Keeping my fingers crossed, I ran an empty load, all seemed fine at first then it threw the LE code again. Im at my wits end. Repair service said I should throw it out (bought it 8/04. They estimated almost $1,000 to fix it!! I know it's not the motor as I just had it replaced as the repair first told me that was the problem.
Someone please help. This machine was not cheap and should last more than 5 years, trying to fix it as no repair people know what they are talking about.
I took the entire washing machine apart. I checked the drain pump as the repair service said I needed a new one, as well as a rear and front drum, shocks rear bearing assembly. Would you believe the only thing wrong with the unit was that the drain pump was clogged at both ends. Machine is running fine and not throwing the LE Code. The repair service (LG recommended dealer) should be shot for telling me to throw out the unit.

Welcome to FixYa
LE error in your LG front load washer is displayed when either the motor is not working or the control board thinks that the motor is locked up. A Hall effect sensor is used in these washer which monitors the speed and direction of the motor and then forwards this information to the control board. Hope you understand by now that this LE error is displayed when their is an issue with the motor or when the hall effect sensor sends wrong signal to the control. Conclusion is you'll have to check both motor and hall sesor and replace the part# that is bad, usually I have seen the sensor going bad. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.
