Duo-Fast Ms7664-2

Hi Chuck:
Usually these guns are really reliable provided they are cleaned occasionally and oiled regularly.
I'd start by disconnecting it from the air supply and dis-mantling it, cleaning the bits, and then re-assemble and oil the moving parts at the same time.
Other choices are:
1) Take it to service shop
2) buy another gun.

How do i fix leaking karcher power washer

Leakage from the machine itself, can be from faulty O ring Gaskets.
If the leaks are from the gun, one can service the gun. Please note that a gun leakage will cause the machine to start and stop many times. These are a few points that I can help you with. If you described from where the leakage is coming, I could be more helpful.
Regards,
MG.

Air leaks when triggered and no nail

Make sure no nails in gun. With air connected listen for leaking thru nose of the gun also. If leaking thru nose slightly, air is getting past the cylinder seal oring and/or top of cyl is not seating against headvalve. Repair leak to nose of gun before trying to fix head leak. With no air leaking thru nose of gun, add plenty of white grease to orings in the head (one oring at a time) to see if leak is less and/or grease will streak behind the leaking oring. Then repair as needed. May need slightly thicker oring or sand surface where oring makes contact to remove scratches that are allowing air to pass. Also air can enter the head thru the small port in the gasket leading to the head (make sure that the gasket is sealing).

My older style Hitachi NR90AD still works OK but always leaks a little air out of the very top of gun. I took the head off, cleaned, and oiled but still leaks by.

Over time debris enters the gun and scratches the metal and plastic surfaces where orings seal against. These scratches will allow air to leak past. Remove the head and pull out the head valve. Examine the metal surface with magnify glass where the headvalve oring makes contact. Remove scratches with 400 grit paper. The surface must be smooth and the oring must seal snugly. Apply silicone paste lube on all surfaces and orings (available at Lowes in the plumbing department and swimming pool supply). Also check for scratches around the body of the gun were the cylinder plate is installed around the cylinder. The gun will not work properly will small air leaks. Remove nails and listen for leaks thru the nose of the gun. Repair as needed. Good luck with your gun.

My regulator leaks.

When I get a gun that leaks, I start as close to the bottle as I can, and start replacing o-rings, one at a time. Or you can just do them all. There is only one or 2 that are special cold air rings, and the last time I rebuilt one, I didn't even bother with the special rings, just put in the same as the rest. Worked fine. There are about 20 of them in a gun, all the same size. You can a lot of parts on ebay.

Air leaks arond trigger when depressed, but no nail fires.

Where does the air leak out from? If it leaks from the trigger DeWalt makes a trigger valve assembly part # 641006-00 list 8.89 BUT if it leaks from other areas we have to look into it deeper. If it is just the trigger valve let me know and I will give you instructions how to remove and install the new one.

Nail gun leaking air through the nose.

Lets assume you have oiled the gun. Before you run out and buy an o-ring kit for this, take the gun apart and look for anything that may be jammed inside the gun. This could be dirt, grit or an unfired nail. The gun is very simple inside so don't be afraid to do this yourself. Undo the 4 hex screws holding on the cap at the back of the gun. Put the nose of the gun in a vise or get a friend to hold the gun for you. Grab hold of the cylinder inside the gun and pull it out. Wiggle it around and pull at the same time, it will be tight but it will come out. Totally disassemble the cylinder. If the seals look good take a very close look at the "Bulkhead". It is made of plastic and is prone to get very small hairline cracks in it and this will leak air. Look inside the cylinder and make sure the walls are smooth and not scored. This is all very easy to do. Don't just buy an o-ring kit assuming it will fix the problem. Look for the simple stuff first, it may save you some time and money. AGAIN IF THE O-RINGS LOOK GOOD TAKE A VERY CLOSE LOOK AT THE BULKHEAD AND LOOK FOR CRACKS, IF AIR IS LEAKING FROM THE NOSE THIS SHOULD BE THE FIRST PLACE TO LOOK AND COSTS ABOUT $7.00 TO REPLACE..........
