Most likely you have residue on around the key buttons (spraying with electrical cleaned non residue type), or a bad button. I carry these buttons on my repair truck. Good thing is you can tell which button is bad by what it does, channel up or channel down.
I have simply cut out the offending button and used the remote as a quick solution.

Cannot keep all channels on tv

When you say you "lose" channels, you probably mean there's no signal there anymore but they are still in the channel memory. This is normal if you have a rotatable antenna. You need to mark the rotator (or just keep a chart nearby) with the heading for each channel.

If you mean you're losing channels from memory when rescanning after turning the antenna, the only solution I can offer is to record the channels found (and their signal levels) after scanning a direction. Then change directions and rescan. See what new channels have been found, what have been lost, or how signal level has changed on common channels. Then you can manually add whatever you need, and you'll know what direction is best for each. It's tedious, but you should only need to do it once.

Press talk to change to next channel or press monitor to keep current channel. Press monitor when desired channel is selected, radio will speak current code. Press talk to change to next code or press monitor to keep current code. Press talk to change code as desired then press monitor when done. Will speak channel and code selected. Set all units in same manner to communicate.

My tv keeps changing the channels on its own

take out the batteries of all the remotes that are able to change the channel and put a piece of duct tape over the infared reciever and if it still does it, it is most likely defective.

Channel keeps changing

It sounds like a stuck button or switch. What happens when you hit the channel DOWN, does it still keep scrolling down?
Is this with or without the remote?
Have you tried it with the remote and or the TV?

Let me know whether you are changing the channels with the remote or the buttons on the tv and I can try to give you a couple more suggestions.
Mac =)
