SOURCE: I'm looking for the reverse belt routing.

Just take the old belt to a auto parts store and they can match it for you. If you dont have the belt take a piece of twine and put it around the pulleys
to make a template so to speak. Then take that to the auto parts store. Hope this is a FixYa. Pls rate the answer.

SOURCE: No spark

If your engine is 11 years old it will have points @condensor under flywheel there are two wires coming from the condensor one goes to the coil and the other goes to a ground switch thats most of the time on the throotle linkage,if that wire is grounded against metal there will be not spark . the gap between coil and flywheel is 10 thousands (you can use an index card to set it .

SOURCE: wiring on an old 5hp Briggs and Stratton engine

The "heavy wire" connects to the spark plug. It should have a plug connector attached. There are 2 small wires. One of them grounds to the engine block (probably through one of the screws that holds the magneto in place). The other wire goes to the condensor/capacitor.

Wizard rototiller model 5hp. Briggs. Not getting fuel somehow. Fixed carberator. Spark plugs cleaned everything out... what could be the issue

is it a bowl style carb and you cleaned it is it a diaphram style and you replaced the diaphram ?the older 5hp briggs engines would run fine if you started it with carb cleaner some leaked head gaskets and could create enough vac to draw in the fuel

I have a 5hp rototiller and I get no spark

Change the plug, then test again, if still no spark then check the kill mechanism under the shroud, and if still no spark change the ignition module.

I hope this helps.
