Question about Televison & Video

1 Answer

Model: UA43J5100AKXBG Version: DD01. It starts flickering since last 1 month. Ancreasing the rate of flickering day by day. Earlier after 15-20 min flickering stops. But now it takes 80-90 min to stop flickering after TV starting. I have checked there is no jamper like 852 or 854. The only cloae one is JP 855. Should I cut it? Any other suggestion? Regards, Anwar

    Dont find KBJ6J (6A, 600 V) rectifier. D3SB60 (600V, 4A) is available is it usable as alternative?

    60R580P regulator also not available.

Please suggest a list of alternative rectifiers for KBJ6J and alternative regulators for 60R580P. It will be a great help for me.

    Thanks in advance.

2sk3451-01MR would replace 60r580P. GBK25D should be fine replacing it from KBJ6J its 200v 25a

    # Can I use 2sk3451-01MR only with existing KBJ6J?
    # Or I have to use 2sk3451-01MR in combination with GBK25D?
    # I can order 2sk3451-01MR and D3SB60 / D25SBA80 from available source

    Please advise.

I have replaced both the rectifier diode and the mosfet. Still problem exists neither improved nor become worst. Please suggest if you have any. Could be panel issue?

If the board does not have jp854 top left of the power board 2 inch down it's not the same power board as the quick fix. also it's not really a quick fix, you need to replace the voltage regulator on the heat disperser, right pin on the 3 pins is the controller for the voltage when the chip wares out it cannot regulate the correct voltage so the voltage goes up and down causing the flicker, on the quick fix its just cutting this connection off so the regulator is working at no adjustable voltage.

    Thanks for the quick reply.
But I could not really recognige the voltage regulator. There is a small black square shape device with three pins screwed on aluminium like metal piece (possibly heat disperser). If it is voltage regulator then I have to remove or cut the right pin looking from pin side, right?
If it fix flickering problem then I have to replace this black square shape device for permanent solution, right?

    Thanks and regards,

hi sorry i did reply but was not on account as been away. i would need to see the board, or at least have the board number. it will be printed on the board. and don't cut the pin as this will not work as its also a earth.

Please see the attached power board picture. Additional information: now tv flickering remain forever, not fix after some time from switching on.

arh right ive not seen this board before but its a simple system, you have a bad voltage regulator and a faulty bridge rectifier. this will case a voltage pulse. if you check the voltage with a meter it will be pulsating on the voltage. if you cannot find the rectifier for the voltaged if you give me the number there are alternatives. same for the bridge rectifier. there are a number of voltage rectifiers. from 1 to 5 amps and adjustable voltage thought pin 3 on the type you need. bridge rectifiers need to be the same fitting i.e left pin - right pin + and vice versa. mians is the middle unless stated on the chip. the diode above the middle transformer will probably need replacing to as this would be for the transformer.

Too late now but I hope you had it serviced while it was still on parts warranty. With a couple of exceptions, service on those is by major pcb replacement.

SOURCE: bad picture

Sounds like a dry solder joint. When the tv is on for 4/5 mins the crack warms up and the gap spreads. When you turn off it cools and when it warms up it starts again.

SOURCE: I have had my Timex

The heart rate is recorded at these abnormally low levels because the sensor has lost its sensibility. This can be caused by only 2 things:
1 - the battery for the watch is almost dried and its voltage has dropped so low that the sensor can't work no more. You will have to replace the battery. because your watch is a sealed type you should take it to a repair shop: they will know how to open it carefully enough as to not damage the rubber seals.; and if they can't open it without damage they will have replacement rings.
2 - the sensor itself (which basically is just a microphone that listens to the beats) is clogged by dirt. Wash the watch in hot soapy water and look very carefully for cracks in the rubber of the strap - if you find one then the sensor has been permanently damaged by the sweat that seeped in. In that case it's time for a new one.

Seal deal w/ ours. I took it apart and the power supply board had the burn marks on it. Just ordered another power supply board (pn: 272217100571) for ~ $100. TV back panel comes off fairly easily to get at boards.

I have an ASUS model X83V and my screen has been flickering (not in brightness, but actually going fuzzy and "jumping"). The flicker can take upwards of 1 hour or more before it goes away, but usually...

my son has this same machine and after a year of almost daily use it developed this same flicker you describe, about every 4 secs, then it got much worse, almost like an old tv rolling. i took it all apart and inspected it all. didn't see anything really troubling.

yesterday it worked fine all day while i installed a bunch of updates for another problem. i left it on all night doing some other things. this morn when i got up it was still ok. then after a while it started in again, every 4 secs.

so i've been troubleshooting the damn thing all evening and have come to the conclusion its from over heating, probably cause of the crappy heat sink connection. i noticed if i take it outside in 40 degree weather and leave it a couple mins on the hood of my truck, it goes away. bring it back in and after 5 mins it comes back. take it back out and its fine again in a few mins. also, yesterday my house as much cooler. my fire was out and it was in the upper 60's in here, today as soon as it got to 76 in here, and it was above that all day, it started acting up

so i think my next step will be to try and make a better union between the chips and the heat sink itself. you should try a test with yours. start it up, make sure its flickering, put it in a cold space for a few mins. just be caustious of condensation.

My screen is going totally white while I am using my laptop

You do not mention the brand or model which would be very helpful. It sounds like one of two things. 1. the inverter attached to the lcd is bad or 2. the lcd cable is lose on the screen. Send me the model and I will get you a better answer

Purchased a 42-Screen "flickers"

Inverter Board going bad or loose plug, then the backlight board will fail within 3-4 weeks later. Good thing you saved a few hundred on the x-warranty, BB won't do a damned thing for you regardless; it's discontinued & they lie about their 'replacement vouchers'.

Samsung, same exact problem - flickers on power up for a few min

This sounds like a power supply problem, how old is the monitor? If it is not new in the last year and is used regularly it sonds like a faulty capacitor in the power supply. If you are aware of the precautions necessary when handling capacitors and a moderatly competent solderer then you can replace then yourself - a complete set of capacitors usually costs around £3 or $5

Check all the cables, if it is not the cables being loose, then it is a component inside that is starting to fail.
