Yeah, they do that. There's a fix, but it costs more than the new ones. They're a lot cheaper than when you likely got yours.
Spend the money ... they're still cool.

My Nikon camera (sorry don't know the model) zoom is stuck and will not move. I was wondering how much it would cost to fix it. It is not a digital camera, it also is not a detachable lens. And i have no...

So you probably have a camera where you have to put in a 35 mm film. Like we all used to have some 10, 15 or more years ago. You telling me, the camera has a zoom lens fixed to the camera, I think it is one of the cheaper cameras from that era. I still have some camera's with film in them and I do use them of and on. I do have to tell you that most of these camera's are very cheap these days. Cheap like 5 to 50 pounds. Only the very good looking camera's that used to be top of the bill, for years, still cost some money. If you have a mint camera, some times it brings lots of money, but only one camera each year is found at the max. I think if you still can find a repair shop, it will cost much more than a second hand camera on ebay. If you can't get the camaer to work, with a new set of batteries, don't spend your money on it.

SD1100 got wet,now LCD sceen is completely black when power is on, it is not working, how much to get fixedor new one is cheaper than get fixed?

Probably not worth the time and money to fix it. One last try, you can take the battery out and put both camera and battery into a bag of dry rice (uncooked of course :) make sure it's completely covered and leave for a few days. Sometime, this will completely absorb the moisture in gadgets that got wet and it might work again. Since you tried turning it on after it got wet, it might not work b/c something may have shorted out.

The monitor will not come on and there is a periodic klicking sound coming from within. Worth fixing?

In my opinion, it won't be worth fixing, which is to say it will cost more than it is worth. You can buy a much higher spec camera than this one very cheaply now. It is always hard to abandon an item that once cost a lot of money, but you have to compare the cost of repair to today's camera prices, not to what you once paid. Used examples of this camera are selling for $40 on Amazon, if you really like the camera and want to replace it.

Why doesnt my flash work on my camera anymore? I have tried to reset and checked all settings for the flash.

There may be many reasons for this, non of them fixable without the knowledge and the tools in a proper camera worksop.

Usually its the charging capacitor on the flash board secdtion that fails.

Depending on replacement cost of camera and its age it may be not worth the money to fix it.

Thanks for using FIXYA

Very common Fuji lens problems. Find a good independent repair shop that may be able to fix. Fuji will charge a huge sum to replace lens.
