Question about Philips Magnavox 50ML8105D 50" HDTV DLP TV
My magnavox 37MF321D/37 will not turn on. It started fading by barely powering up...the power button would flash green. Then it just quit all together. Any advice?
I had the same problem with the blinking green light. These are the parts one the power supply I replace to repair it. note: If the power supply is repaired you will get a solid green light and the backlight will light up almost immediately.

My magnavox has no sound the instruction manual roles on going thru the television, I cannot shut it down. The red and green light is on in front of the tv. I can't change channels, I can't get sound, and I can't shut it off. Have to unplug it.

I had the same problem w/the blinking light on my Magnavox. Both 1200MF 35V caps were bad, as well as the 2200MF 25V cap. I replaced the two 1200MF 35V caps with two 1500MF 35V caps I acquired at my local Radio Shack. I then replaced the 2200MF 25V cap with an axial 2200MF 35V cap I also acquired at the local Radio Shack. For ~$15 I fixed my HDTV. Couldnt be happier. Hopefully the new, slightly heavier duty caps will last longer than the original ones did.

I have had a flashing green light problem twice on my 42" Magnavox LCD. Less than 5 months, it would power on showing digital video on the screen and a flashing green light. Couldn't view cable or dvd or operate any buttons. To reset, I had to pull the hdmi cables then unplug the tv set. Just cycling the power alone would not reset this television.

Awesome. Even with my meager soldering skills this was a breeze. Thanks for the info. Now my tv not only works but it doesn't take 3 hours to turn on!

This problems, very common in LCD tv,after the tv was in used about a year or two.The new technalogy LCD tv don't handle heat very well, not like the old CRT Tube Tvs.The power supply board tend to have bad capacitors componnents leakage, that bulges up it top or puff up gases escape, that why it take times or couples pushes to the power botton to turn the tv on.U know basic electronic's,and have soldering tools and solders?Take the tv aparts, check for these bad capacitors, that bulges, puff up in the power supply board and replaced them, than ur power will work normal again.Or tries Websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.
