The ram is properly installed when it fits neatly into its slot and the little side clips snik into place. Then go into the bios and be sure it is listed there. Depending on the bios you may have to select and add the ram. save and exit bios and the computer should read it just fine.
Select the model you wish and you will find the manual listed under the available downloads. The manuals are very complete and easy to follow.
