Question about Toshiba 50HM66 52" Television
My Toshiba television is about 1 1/2 years old and lately the hot lamp restart has been occurring after the television is on only 5 minutes. Does this mean that a fan that cools the lamp may have gone out or that the lamp unit itself need replaced?
Let us say you cannot wait for the lamp to go down in price $25-$50 a piece.
Put it in your driveway and draw a little circle on the center of the screen. Call some kids stand 20 feet away and exercise with a toy gun of their choosing.
When it 's all done, I mean completely obliterated, gone, gone, gone; then drag it to the curb and let it wait with satisfaction for the garbage truck.
That is what you do with **** like this Toshiba, Sony, Panasonic and others create so you can sleep at night with their hands in your pockets.
I just can't believe than I wasted $2,500 on this thing.
It's unbelievable how people stop thinking nowadays. I just bought my first and last big screen.

The lamp may need replacing. I've been finding that with all these DLP TVs the lamps last on average about 2 years tops.
