Question about GE Freezers
There are several type of attachments, so pick the one best suited to you....
1. (most likely) With the door open, pull on the plastic panel. If it is held on by clips, it will pull straight off. Look carefully at the clips on the panel. Usually, they bend out of position after being forced back on. Adjust the clips, and gently press back into place. If they are damaged, the clips can be reattached with a 2 part epoxy. I prefer JB weld epoxy.
2. Locate the screws that holds the plastic piece on, and loosen them. Adjust the piece. Tighten the screws.

Hello C. Richard Robinson - Is the door being kept open too long or frequently? If so, try removing the items needed from freezer ahead of time so the door is not open as much. However, main possibly could be a poor door seal. Try checking this by placing a dollar between the body of the freezer and the door. Now close the door. The dollar bill should stay in place and pull out with a small amount of resistance. If the dollar bill falls out when placed between the gasket and cabinet double check to see if the door is being blocked by anything stopping it from closing. If nothing is stopping the door then the gasket will need replacing and adjusting by a professional.
