Cannot hear incoming calls on my blackberry 8310. When i click answer, there is a clicking sound. I was told the audio was not working...i get that. it does not work when you connect headphones. any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I did what you suggested and still has the clicking sound. Should the volume indicator keep jumping up and down or should it stay still? Downloaded new software also.

Hello Sir,
First you have to recall your memory, i.e; Was the handset ever dropped or get wet?, because this may cause the hardware to malfunction.
I will consider that you negate the above possibility, now the first thing is to check Volume Profile.
Try the volume buttons on the right side (as you face the device).

Look for the volume indicator while on the call and make sure it is all the way up

Press the green key, then press menu, select general options. Scroll down to default call volume and make sure it's set at 100%. (For assistance I have attatched a Snap Here)

You can also enhance the call audio by boosting the treble or bas.

If this thing is up to the mark already, then I'll Advise you to Upgrade you Device Software (Its Free and Easy)

The Official BlackBerry Device Software Upgrade goes here.

This will hopefully solve you problem,

If you got any more queries, don't hesitate to reply.

Regards.

Waqar.

No, no it should be still at the top, as in the picture I'v posted.

  • Anonymous Aug 02, 2009

If the Volume indicator keeps on Jumping, then the problem is detected Sir, its in the Jokey (The Side scroll).

You might have to replace the unit, or get it cleaned.

    Regards.

No sound Blackberry

Check your profile settings and make sure that it is not set to phone only or all alerts off. If it is set correctly double check your ringtones and make sure they are set for sound. If those options are there then do a battery pull. If it still doesn't work then I would do a search on the crackberry.com website. It is a great site for all things blackberry.

How can i hide my id i have blackberry curve 8310 . and my blackberry curve 8310 ''delet'' button is not working

if your talking about how to hide your phone number when you phone other people then there are to ways of doing this 1. (if you are in the U.K then put 141 before the number you want to phone and this will hide it for that pacific call, 2. (any country) if you want to hide it 24/7 then selsect: >SETTINGS<, >PHONE<, >CALLER ID<, then either of these >NO ONE<, >OFF< or various other words to the effect of off select that click >APPLY< or >OK< then it should hide your number to eveyone and come up on the reciepients phone unknown as incoming call,

Hope this helps

I can make and receive calls, but I cannot hear anything.

Check Windows Sound mixer for application volume. Down in system tray at right side of taskbar double click sound icon for XP or click sound icon once and click Mixer for Vista. Look through volume settings for your phone application. Make sure it is not muted and volume is up.

Incoming messages

On your home screen select an icon that says: profile(phone only). Scroll down to advanced and click. Click again on phone only and a menu will open. Scroll down to sms messages or any other application you wish. Don"t forget to look for where it says mute, that's what u have to change :)
