A handheld steamer uses hot steam to relax the fibers in clothing. A jet of steam is directed at the cloth suspended on a hanger. A steam wand at the end of a hose is held a short distance from the cloth - providing a smooth look without the application of scorching heat to the clothing.Steamers are ideal for soft and delicate fabrics like silk, satin, polyester and jersey. Because a garment steamer does not actually touch clothing - there is little

Have you checked the float?
Sometimes that gets stuck, or collects mineral and stays in the last position.

LOW WATER LIGHT stays on when water tank is full and no steam is produced.

Check the steam holes at bottom to see if holes is pluged with caculm build up that plug holes. To clean holes us calcum cleaner. Use decression . Use distalled water. Not tap water. There is probably a float inside of tank. Deposit calcum probably has stuck it. This is dependent on the brand and how old it is.

Conair steamer leaks water and wets my clothes.

When I use mine I hang the hand held part from my closet door, while I am waiting for it to heat up. When the hose gets too much condensation, from the steam, it leaks out... This will also happen if you try to use in the motion of an iron. The hand held part needs to be at a vertical position at all time to prevent leaking.

When using steam iron i am left with a puddle of water on the floor how do i control the amount of steam

I think is maybe the hose connections. You need to make sure both ends (by the T-nozzle and by the body of the steamer) are secure. You have to align the nozzle with the rod, and push down, and twist. Try watching instructions for connecting both ends on www.HandBookLive.com under appliances category. There are GS4 video instructions and GS10 (this one has just been posted yesterday)
hoe it helps. Otherwise I would return the steamer. Nowhere in the operating instructions does it say that you can control the amount of stream produced...

Conair steam cleaner sc20 - plugged in, pushed button, no steam

If you need instructions go to www.HandBookLive.com. There are videos for GS4 and GS10 under Appliances category. It says that steam is produced in about 5-6 minutes after you turn power on. Also there is a low water indicator light on GS10 that kills power to teh unit if the water level is low. Maybe that's the problem... Not sure if sc20 is similar
