When clicking on the mail symbol for yahoo mail, the connection will not go thru and it come back as a blank white screen with internet explorer could not connect. I am connected to the internet and can go to other sites

Enabling ActiveX

If you plan to use the current version of Yahoo! Mail on a Windows machine, you'll want to enable your computer's ActiveX controls so you can access all the features of the email program.

To do this, go to the "Tools" menu or the gear symbol in Internet Explorer, then select "Internet Options" and "Security."

Click on "Internet," then "Custom Level."
Scroll down to "Run ActiveX Controls and Plugins" and "Script ActiveX Controls Marked Safe for Scripting." Enable each of these options and save your settings.

Reboot Internet Explorer.

If you are using Internet Explorer: click tools at the top, then internet options, then security. Click "Custom Level" button, go to the scripting section and disable active scripting. Then Log in to your yahoo mail. Select "Return to a previous version of Yahoo! Mail" Once done you can return to the previous settings. Log out and login again.
If you are using Firefox go to tools > options > content. Click on disable Javascript. Then Log in to your yahoo mail. Select "Return to a previous version of Yahoo! Mail" Once done turn it back on. Log out and login again.

Yesterday, I came accross such a situation on a friend's PC and he asked me to help. Here's what I did to resolve the issue: -
You may be using Internet Explorer. I installed Google Chrome, which worked fine.
Secondly, I reset the Internet explorer to its defaults.
Open Internet Explorer, go to tools, Internet Options and Click 'RestoreDefaults'.
(OR Just above Internet Options, you would find "Reset Internet Explorer to Defaults")

any error messages or what's happening when you login to your yahoo mail? if you're able to login to it, then it just gives you a blank, white page, try using another browser (firefox, google chrome), or reset your internet explorer's settings (tools -- internet options -- advanced tab -- reset). if you're unable to login, (forgot your password) just click on the forget password link to generate another password for you.

Hi there, after open internet explorer click tools option. From there select internet options and there you found a option" delete temporary internet files, history, cookies." Just delete them & then close the internet explorer. After that go for email reading

are you sure that you are online,I don't think so, try to go to your favorite site if you can access, if not you're not connected. Click internet explorer if you can go online, if not, your connection problem, means your modem

You may want to try another browser to see if you get the same error message. I would recommend Firefox.

Internet explorer has many add-ons which can effect logons to many sites. You go thru the addo-ons by opening up internet explorer, clicking on tools, Internet options, programs tab and edit add-ons.

Some homepages have too many images and takes more time to download. So some people make the home page blank. So this is not a problem or error. It is people's choice

To get back to your yahoo page as home page
Do the following:
Open Internet Explorer , (Or directly from Yahoo screen)
click on the following
From Menu click on Tools
Options
General ( If you are using Firefox, it is MAIN)
You will see three options to choose your home page
Use Blank Use Current Use default
Choose Current OR Default
Press OK
Next time you start the IE the screen will be different.

click on tools on internet explorer
click on internet options and delete all temporary internet files, also the cookies too

check the version of the browser you are using and also the version of java you have. try checking your mail on another computer or change the browser
