Re: PC-940 Cartridge stuck

Turn off machine, you can move the cartridge head back and forth when it is off. If it won't move there is something that is loose and is in the way, check.
Not sure if you mean it is stuck when it was moving or if the cartridge is stuck in the printer?

How to turn off test print on a HP DJ 6122.

Yes.Tell it to print a dot short word and when it starts printing unplug the power cord so it stops with the printhead somewhere to the left. Then do your cart change. It won' t know you did anything.
The 6122 will print from the HP 920, 930, 932, 940 & 950 drivers also - (which are included with your Windows XP and Vista systems). If you chose the 970 driver it will want a second sheet of paper to print a test page, which you can ignore and it will stop trying. All drivers seem to be the same print quality in my systems. I do not use the 970 or 6122 driver at all so I don't have an ink level monitor or any possible related potential glitch. I wet and slap stubborn old ink cartridges to un-stick dry jets. sometimes I use a small clear silicone tube to suck a bit of ink to get them started as the jet holes need priming sometimes if they are old.

Black ink is coming out on one side of paper only

If this means that part of your page is coming out blank then the easy fix for this is to remove the toner cartridge and while holding it level, shake the cartridge from side to side. This will re-distribute the toner inside of the cartridge and restore printing to the reset of the page. Just re-install and test. This happens most often when the cartridge is starting to get low on toner so you may want to begin the process of getting another cartridge on the way.

Our pc 940 does solid black copy

There is an open circuit on one of the charging components in the printer cartridge, the Canon E40. Replacing the cartridge should solve the issue. Be sure to use a high quality remanufactured cartridge or an original to try to avoid such issues.

Dell 1720 lazer printer only printing solid black pages

The corona wire is not charging the drum properly. Try pulling the toner cartridge out and then re-seating it. If this doesn't work, try a new toner cartridge as the corona wire is usually included in the cartridge.

If you are using a refill toner, there's an outside chance that the supplier put toner with the wrong electric charge in the cartridge. Again, changing the cartridge should fix this(assuming the replacement is from another batch).

cart is in the right spot, bl in one spot and color in a spot.

New cartridge

Yes, it should.. It releases the toner into the developing unit. You may want to try running some blank page through the copier to get the toner moving evenly in the developing unit... Or it could just be a Bad cartridge. If you put the old one back does it work???
