Question about Sony Handycam DCR-TRV22E Mini DV Digital Camcorder
You need to use a DV cable to transfer video to computer with this camera. This cable and port is also known as 1394 firewire or i-link.
If you are using a USB cable this is only suitable for transferring still images. Once you have connected the camera by DV cable XP should recognise the camera.
You will also need a DV port on your computer and suitable editing software such as Windows moviemaker for the transfer to work,
