Rear roller not working

When I try to engage the rear roller, it does not turn unless the rear is lifted so that the roller is clear of the ground. The blades can engaged and work normally. Any ideas on how to fix?

Slacken off the clutch cable that operates the roller. If thats not tight then you have to change the clutch at the roller end.

Paper jam in number two how to clear same?

The paper paths on these types of printers work in a simalar maner not knowing where your jam is is going to be a bit difficult.
Does the paper tray lifting gear on the rear of the paper tray work correctly, remove the tray and load with paper. There should be a gear on the rear of the tray, turn it with your hand and the paper should lift. If that doesn't work, check for broken lifting gears on the tray. Alternately if the trays don't have lift gears then if lifting is done internally in which case try to look if the paper has been raised up to the feed rollers. Before you remove the tray you have to look inside and investigate.
In my experience a difficult to find piece of paper usually cause the problem.
Good luck with the problem.

2001 polaris magnum 500 wheel drive will not work on ground but when front and rear are jacked up of the ground it works why is that?

If the engine is revving, but the bike is not moving forward on the ground, then something is stripped or sheared off. When you lift the engine, drive shaft splines extend and engage enough to rotate the wheels. Also, there is less resistance so the wheels may turn easier, even if a transmission gear is broken. I've stripped these splines (the female side) My first suggestion is to pull the splined rear drive shaft out and inspect all sides. I answered a previous question on how to remove them if you search on my answers.

Check the oil in the transfer case. If it has lots of metal in it... time for a new one. They aren't the world's strongest.
Another check: Lift the front of the truck, while keeping the rear wheels on the ground. Engage the 4x4 switch (then turn the truck off) crawl under and try to turn the front driveshaft by hand. If it turns and the wheels turn, the transfer case is the problem if it turns but the front wheels don't... front diff issues. Any grinding, crunching etc is also a clue.

It appears that the gear case on your model is not capable of being serviced. The cost is over 300 dollars. There is a shear pin or similar connection in the case where the shaft connects to the pulleys. It has broken off and the shaft has no torque now.

I have recently been given a HP K8600 which I am told works perfectly except for the front paper feed. It is fine using the rear feed. is it aproblem that can be repaired or do I just use the rear feed?

Well, my guess is, it could be the roller foot or a belt. If you are comfortable taking things apart and putting them back together, it may not be tough to fix, but finding replacement parts may be tougher than actually installing them.

Typically, the paper feeders work by a belt that turns a roller, the roller has a rubber foot on it, this rubber foot grips the sheet of paper when the paper is pressed to it (in many models there is a "lifter" that does this.

You can try with the front feeder and see what it does. In most cases if you look closely you can see the printer working in action. When you try to print something, does the rubber foot spin? does the paper get lifted? (or the foot lowered to the paper) If the paper is applied to the "foot" and the foot spins, and the foot can't grab the paper, it could just be a worn out rubber foot. If you can find a replacement, that may be the simplest thing. But really overall, if you are fine using the rear feeder, it may not be worth playing with unless you want a project.

Rear wheel drive does not push mower when engaged. But, when mower rear wheels are lifted off the ground, they turn weakly.

remove the rear wheels and check the gears in the wheels- they are plastic and part of the circumfrance on the inside of the wheel. If worn replace wheels.
also check belt- it should be tight with very little play when drive is engaged ( obvioulsy check this with engine off).

I cant reach the paper that is jamed what do i do

Have you been able to take the door off at the rear?

If you haven't tried this before, there is usually a door at the rear of the printer, with two circular recesses. Push the latches in and lift the door out, then see if you can reach some or all of your stuck paper.

Mfc-665cw all in one paper tray

To get the paper tray out, remove the rear "door "from the all-in-one (and "carefully" lift the roller guide out of the way. Sometimes a finger works, but a pen is guaranteed to work. When the roller guide is out of the way the tray slides out verrry easily. When its not, the tray is nearly impossible to get out!

Note that the right-hand side of the tray has two inclined guide "ramps" that work as the tray is removed. Once you get the tray out place a "small!" amount of petroleum jelly on the rear ramp: works like a champ.
