go to disable automatic restart on system failure and check whether it gives some blue screen error?
go to bios and do a default on bios by pressing alt+e ,alt+d & alt+f
now disable floppy drive,cd drive, sound and network then exit the BIOS by saving the changes.
now reboot the system and check.

alos make sure that USB emulation option is set to no boot

Dear Sir, I have a M7VIG 400 PRO mainboard and I would like to install the sound card. My question would be, that how can I install the sound card that belong to it? Thank you very much in...

I'm not sure I understand the question, it would be helpful to read your question though one last time before posting it to make sure it makes sense. I THINK you're asking how do you make the built in sound card come on? If that's the question, do the following, but BE CAREFUL. You will need to go into the BIOS by pressing the "Delete" key when the PC first starts up. Once you press the power button & see things start to happen on the screen, press the "Delete" key & that will take you into the BIOS (Basic Input Output Systems), but this is a VERY dangerous place for somebody who doesn't know what they're doing (no offense). If you change the wrong setting in the BIOS you may do something to your system that prevents it from booting up. If you do that, then you will have to take it to a repair person. That's another story for another day.

After you press the Delete key, you will see the screen turn blue. Look at the directions on the screen & that will explain how to navigate in there. Note, you cannot use the mouse in the BIOS, only they keyboard. So you will have to navigate the the screen that shows Peripherals, then find the sound device & set the sound device to "Enabled". Then, press F10 to "Save & Exit".

I suggest that you do a "dry run" fist. Press Delete, go into the BIOS & look around. Don't change any settings, just look. Then press the ESC key to exit without saving the settings. That way if you do change something by mistake, it won't save your changes. Try that a couple of times to get familiar with what you're looking at. Then, when you feel comfortable, IF you feel comfortable, make the change to your sound device, & save & exit.

Good luck!

Good day. I have a Gateway m-1625 (reconditioned). About 5 months ago it started to give problems when booting up. When powered on the hard drive would be engaged & then it would shut off. After...

check the BIOS version, if there is an update for it on the gateway site apply it. a checksum error in CMOS BIOS cannot be overcome and you will always have to deal with this issue if no bios updates are available. There is a slim chance that you can revert back to an earlier version.

What are the changes to be done in the bios setup

You do not need to make any changes to the BIOS setup without any reason. In case you want to disable some of the onboard devices like graphic card , LAN or Onboard sound then you can do it from the BIOS setup. You can make changes to the boot device and configure the system to boot from a selected device like HDD or CD/Drive

Cd/dvd player is not working

Hello, Follow the instruction:
Press power button and enter BIOS menu. (Bios menu: while PC make sound beep press button "delete")
You can see there BIOS menu. (Be carefully, don`t change anything if you can`t understand something) You have to find there general settings and in general settings you will see boot button.
There will be many boot buttons, but your settings must be that:
First boot: FDD (do not change it)
Second boot: HDD (do not change it)
Third boot: CDROM (if it is not, change it to CDROM or DVD/CDROM)
