Question about Audio Players & Recorders

Using an ONIX mp3 player with a mac

Just bought an Onix mp3 player (Mini Coupe II) at Aldi. When I connect it to my mac it does appear as a drive but DOES NOT appear in iTunes as a device as the manual says it should. iTunes can't do anything with it.

If I try to copy mp3 files directly within the Finder, it refuses due to ''no permission''. ''Get info'' on the drive shows full read & write access.

What's the problem here? Is there a driver I need? Has anyone got this thing to work with a mac?

same as u, i bought one recently from Aldi... luckily i have proper usb cable can use borrow from other devices (i.e. card reader and external hard disk drive). i guess this cable tech. name is "USB A Male to USB Mini 5 B Male Cable". You can buy one from BigW, Kmart, Office Work etc. Of couse the cost will be cheaper if buy one from any local discount variety stores such as Reject, Go Lo, Hot Dollar etc. Oh, one more thing, there is no special charging gadget to charge the player. Just connect it to your PC with proper usb cable. It will charge by itself ~little

Hello I bought an Onix Multimedia player from ALDI. How do I charge it? When I connect it to my pc I can't see it? no drive showing it Any chance in getting an electronic version of the user...

1. Please confirm that the power switch (located on the side of the player) is in the up or ON position. 2. When you connect to your computer, please make sure that the computer is powered on and not in a sleep or standby state, as those low power states will not charge a USB device. If that's not working, charge the player in a wall charger or another computer.

I have no idea how to charge the battery - The product is an ONIX MP3 player purchased at ALDI

If it has no obvious battery connections, then hook it up on your USB cable and see if you computer will do it. Mine does.

The Onix Mini Coupe I works just like a flash drive ... I am only running W2K ... I plugged it in and it was recognized ... copy mp3 files to the drive that appears in your list of disk drives. (just at the lowest (root) level). It works fine.

I seem to have trouble loading music on my mp 3 player. I am a bit of a computer novice and can't find instructions on how to get the music onto my Onix mp3 player.

I bought the ALDI ONIX cheap mp3 player & it just took a while to charge. when i turned it off & on again it popped up as a USB drive on the desktop (MAC) & i just had to drag the mp3s i wanted from itunes onto it!

Make sure you do a 10 hour charge when you first get it. - ie; leave it plugged into USB & switched on...the red light on the side of mine blinks when it's on... happy music lovin'

Step 1. Turn unit on and select "System" menu. Press "M" button to enter menu.
Step 2. Press "right" arrow 4 times until "Audio Auto Transfer" is highlighted
and press "M" button to enter menu.
Step 3. Press "right" arrow to highlight "close" and then press "M" button to
select.
Step 4. Press "Play/Pause" button to exit system menu.
After the above procedure is correctly followed, the MP3 will no longer be incorrectly detected when it is connected to a computer.
