(I took too long to change the cartridge so it slid back to home position, I didn't think to just start over and moved it by hand).
Not sure if this will work for you. I started my cartridge up till it got to the centre and pulled the electrical plug out of the wall Took the old one out and installed the new one then re plugged the printer back in. Every thing started right up and stopped where it is supposed to be. Works like new now.

I fixed this problem by disconnecting the power cord from the power-strip and connecting it directly into the wall. My printer was not getting enough voltage from the power-strip. I hope this helps.
