Question about Thermador SC302T Electric Double Oven
Hope you had a happy turkey day:-) We acquired a Thermadore SC 272 TP Double Oven. We decided to use the self clean option. The top oven cleaned well. The next day we cleaned the bottem oven and the door is now making a clicking sound and will not open. We unplugged it let it sit and repluged it in. Still clicking and locked, the cooling fans have stopped. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks
PS We also have the dim LCD issue and your solutions were very helpful:-)
OK...you need to replace the lock, but first you need to get the darn think open. I looked at it, couldn't figure out how, and left it. My 14 yr old starting looking at it (after the kids had their TV, Ipod, etc taken away from him for the weekend.....) and he took a coat hanger from the side to pull the latch open.
The rest is straightforward sheet metal disassembly except for the front panel...label the connectors with a piece of tape before you pull the cables connecting the front panel (unless you are able to read a schematic). You can buy the part from AppliancePartsPros.com
