SOURCE: top thread isnt picking up

Use a fresh needle and make sure that you place the flat side to the rear when you insert it. Use a coin to turn the needle screw. Also, get a free downloaded manual from www.singerco.com

You can download a manual from here http://www.singerco.com/accessories/manuals.html, just type in the model number and click on 'search' to locate your machine's one.

As a rule of thumb, the thread usually comes off a bobbin goes through the tension then reverses direction back the other way. So as you pull the thread, the bobbin usually turns anticlockwise. But always check the manual to be sure.

SOURCE: Why is the thread shredding above the needlehole on my juki lu563

One time I had my machine serviced and the guy used a metal thread to widen my needle hole. Your problem happened to me too I think the thread is not the best quality. Also rethreading might help. Testimonials Ergonomic Travel Neck Pillow Microwave Hot Cold Packs

Which way does thread come off of bobbin for juki tl 2200 qvp

According to the manual (pg 20), it appears the bobbin turns clockwise in the bobbin case. So when the bobbin is loaded and the thread pulled, the thread direction goes right, then doubles back through the tension mechanism to the left.

WhenI turn the inside nob the needle works but not when I turn the outer nob, it just turns and nothing happens WhenI use the peddle the outernob spins but again the needle doesnt work (nob=handwheel)

On most machines, when the inner wheel is turned counter clockwise, it engages the bobbin winder and disengages the needle movement.

To disengage the bobbin winder and sew, turn the inner wheel clockwise as far as it will go. This should engage the sewing capability and it should work either by hand rotating the large wheel (always counter clockwise!) or with the foot pedal. If it does not, then you most likely need to have your machine serviced.

Threading correct way

My 7th grade home ec. teacher taught us that just about all machines thread the same: Spool, Thread guide, Thread guide, Tension, Take up lever, Thread guide, Thread Guide, Needle. I haven't come across a machine yet that hasn't followed these guidelines (the number of thread guides vary) If the thread make a "crow nest" under the fabric, your bobbin may be in backwards. Again, most machines the bobbin should turn COUNTER clockwise. To check, thread the bobbin and hold so you can see the direction it turns when the thread is pulled. It should spin counter clockwise. Still having problems, be sure the presser foot is down. Still a mess, then your machine my be one that turns clockwise.

When the needle goes down into the bobin area below, it catches on the "round about", so the whole point is that it misses the thread, and doesn't catch it, what can i do to fix this??

It sounds like your problem is as simple as either a bent needle or a bobbin casing that is inserted improperly. First, change your needle being mindful of the type of fabric (and thread) you are using (e.g. Size 11 ballpoint for a light knit or a size 18 jeans needle for denim). Make sure that the bobbin casing is set in correctly, and that the bobbin goes in the correct way. (i.e. Counter-clockwise for a drop-in style bobbin). This should solve your issue. Happy sewing!

I have lost the manual and i dont remember how to thread a bobbin. Pleas help me and thank you!

Juki TL-98Q
Loading the bobbin into the bobbin case:
Snap in the bobbin case latch, and put the bobbin into the bobbin case so that the bobbin runs clockwise.
Passing the thread through the **** of the bobbin case, continue passing it under the thread tension spring, and pull out the thread open end about 10 cm from the bobbin case.
Insert the bobbin case fully into the hook, and close the bobbin case latch.

I can't get the needle to pick up the thread from bobbin why not?

Take the thread out of the machine.

Make sure that a new needle is inserted properly; this is critical.

Place the presser foot up and turn the handwheel towards you until the take-up lever is at its highest position.

Thread the machine.

Always turn the handwheel towards you. If you look at it from the right side it should turn counter-clockwise.

If it still doesn't pick up the bobbin, reply.
