but if not ...hold down the mode and channel 2 buttons at the same time for 10 secs. This should reboot the recorder.

you can facotry reset your router and it will be unsecured, you can do this by pressing and holding down the reset button in the back for about 30 seconds and then power cycle your modem and the router.
