SOURCE: washing machine doesnt heat the water

Most washing machines do not heat water, they merely let the hot water into the wash tub that comes from your house hot water heater.... when selecting warm, hot and cold water will be mixed together to get warm or when selecting cold.. only the cold water is allowed into the wash tub.. Please provide brand and model number of machine so I can tailor a reply toward your specific washer...

SOURCE: oven not heating

you could have lost one of your 120v leads to the machine. that could cause it to work only half way. go turn the breaker off and then turn it back on and see if that corrects the problem.

SOURCE: Cold water tap not working, house heating not as strong.

Okay let's trouble shoot this problem. The Hot water issue may just be that your Temp. control is not set as high as it was before it was replaced. Find the control on the water heater and check the setting. You can adjust it hotter from there, but it is not recomended to set it all the way to HOT. Just increase it at small adjustments and see if the water gets hotter. The Cold Water Tap issue.....Turn off the Cold and Hot water supply lines to the faucet. Remove the Cold water tap. VERY SLOWLY TURN ON THE COLD WATER SUPPLY and see if you get water coming out of the line. If you get water, then your line is okay. Inspect the valve to see if there is any debris in or on it. Clean and reinstall both taps and turn back on the water. It should work. Now if you turn the water on SLOWLY when the Cold water tap is removed, and no water comes out, Then you know you have an issue with the line going to the cold water side. (Frozen Line, Debris in supply line valve, Broken or Leaking Water Line) I hope this assists you........Joe

SOURCE: I need the manual for a Rinnai Infinity 26 hot water system

you can get it off the rinnai web site they have a spot on there to get the internet manuel,, but from what you are saying you may need to adjust the thermostat, or the temp, remember even though you will have endless hot water it still takes the smae amount of timed for the hot water to get to your faucet,, not only that make sure your shower heads aren't holding back to much water pressure, if you don't have enough water going thru the unit it will not stay lit, if will come on and go off, judt to dstisfy the unit,, make sure the filter is clear, on the cold side there is a cap screw if you take it off there is a screen in side you just pull it out and clean it and reinstal it,,

I have an older Goodman mini-split A/C unit, Model# MSG18HRN1W. On colder nights, at or just before freezing, in heat mode, the unit shuts itself of, and all 4 lights blink repeatedly.

It is meant to shut off when it gets so cold that the unit cannot make warm air from outside air that is too cold. When it reaches that situation, it should be switching the heating effort to the built in resistance heating. In other words, it gives up and directs that many KW of electricity go straight into heater coils, like and electrical dryer has. It is very expensive to heat this way. Most whole house heat pumps can't handle cold air. The newer mini split ductless heat pumps lower can work with outside air temperature below freezing depending on the manufacturer.

I have a hoover vhd 9163zd with error code E05,what component does it refer to being at fault, where is the component located

Error Code 05 is a NTC fault, either open circuit or shorted.
If during the water heating step in the wash cycle, the water temperature sensor (NTC) value is out of range, the "E05" error code will be displayed.

Possible Causes / Procedure:
1. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
2. Check the water temperature sensor. Check connections to the water temperature sensor.
3. Check resistance of heating element, if present on this model. (abnormal = infinity).

Replace failed component. It could be the sensor or the temperature control module (NTC module).

Good luck.

Rinnai 2520 problem

yes but do not think you will find the solution here and not sure you would be able to accomplish this either
I would contact the mfg of both pieces and as well look for DIY sites that may be of some help and more detailed
It would take a l t of time to walk you thru this
This being more of a it is broke I need to fix it not modify website I would not attempt to do here
Be cautious taking help on the net just because it sounds right does not mean it is

My infiniti q45 is over heating and wont hold coolint

Sounds like the thermostat is stuck closed...( did it overheat quickly?)..Where the top or upper radiator hose connects to the engine is where the thermostat is (usually) located.. it may have its own housing also.. but - coolant flows through this from the top...so you can trace the flow and find it.. make sure you get a new gasket and clean all the mating/gasket surfaces

Thermador Built in oven scd302 not heating upper oven, lower oven fine. Heating element not glowing red as the oven below it does.

Hi.

Problem is usually either temperature probe or heating element.

Grab a multimeter and set it on impedance (Ohms).
Remove first temperature probe and then heating element.
If either probe or element is reading open (ohms infinity), then replace the part.

If both probe and elements are not open, then the problem is either wiring or oven electronic control. The most common fault resulting in no heat is the temperature sensor located inside the oven cavity.

Regards.

My house was hit by lightening last night. Since then my Frigidaire stove, blinks F3 when turned on.

Hi.

F3 means that the temperature sensor is open. Locate and remove the temperature probe. Use a multimeter to read the impedance at probe contacts. At room the probe will read about 1.1KOhms. If it reads infinity (open), then the probe must be replaced.
If the probe is good, test the wiring between probe and electronic control. If wiring and probe are good, then the problem is electronic control.
Test the probe first.
