Question about Kodak EasyShare C360 Digital Camera

1 Answer

On my Kodak C360, as soon as I remove the batteries to put fresh ones in, the date/time setting rests to 2005/1/1/12:00. This doesn't happen on my C340. Is there a tiny internal memory battery that is at fault?

Yes, there is a small internal battery that keeps the time and date going while camera is turned off. If you're interested, I can help you locate it as I have all the schematics as I work in a Kodak service center. My e-mail is toms.safranovs@gmail.com

Wont power up ,kodak easyshare c360

Please make sure that you're using fully charged battery
Remove the battery, press and hold the power button for 5 seconds and then reinsert the battery..
Try using a different battery to check whether the issue is with the battery..
You may also check the battery poles using a multimeter to confirm this if you do not have access to a different battery..
If the issue persists, service may be required.
Thanks for understanding.

Camera keeps loosing the time and date settings. When turning the camera on the lens does not open, then a screen asking to set the date and time settings appears - once date reset the camera works...

have you check the settings for time and date have you saved it? You can also try to remove the cam battry for 2 mins. then put it back in then turn on the camera and then after few secs. turn it off, then see if the issue persist.

Red light blinking then turns off new batteries

In order to clearly determine the fault the model of your KODAK camera is needed
However hope this will help:
If your cam use AA batt.:
Pls. use lithium batteries Ni-Mh or rechargeable Batteries (2000 M.Amp or higher).

If your cam use manufactors rechargeble batt.:
Make sure that you are installing a fresh/ full charge battery
Remove the battery
Clean the metal contacts on the battery using a clean cloth

Pls test with an alt. batt.
If you do not have access to a dif. battery.
Pls. take the batt out of the camera. Insert the charger into the unit from the main socket and turn the camera on. If the camera works you will need to replace the batt. If not you will need to order a No power repair.

Batteries

I had the same problem......I went to the store that i bought the camera from and i bought a kit that contained four rechargable batteries, a battery charger, & it also came with a car cord that goes into your cigarette lighter so you can charge a set in your car. PROBLEM SOLVED for $26.00 + tax.

I take a whole lot of pictures (freelance photographer) and I ALWAYS have one fresh set. As soon as the set in my camera goes low i throw them on the charger and put a fresh set in my camera. By the time the fresh set goes low, the set in the charger is ready.

I have the same problem. Removing the memory card and then starting up seemed to fix it; the camera would then start up ok even with the card in.

"Date/Time have been reset."

This is the first time you turned on the camera, or the battery has been removed for an extended period of time, or the battery is exhausted. Reset the clock.
