Hi I'm in UK my Technics SUZ22 bought in 1975 has just made feedback sounds to my speakers which was increasing then a funny pop & now no sound at all, also funny smell. This was gifted to my by my late father. Anyone know if it is fixable by someone in UK in East Anglia,or will cost too much or if parts are even available ? Id like to try as its been an excellent bit of kit with my Tannoy speakers. Here's hoping.

Technics separates issue?

That sounds suspiciously like an issue with speaker connections rather than amp output!

There are manuals and specs here including a Service Manual

I need help with volume and popping and cracking in the speakers. It's a new system and it's only plugged into my record player.

You are most likely going to need a preamp to go between your home theater and record player. The popping and hissing is usually a grounding issue. You will have to ground your system properly to get rid of this.

Automatic muting turns sound off

fijate well in output impedance, which is correct and coupled to the speakers not less, because it causes protection to the team after that can work well.

Distorted sound on Technics SL-1200/1210

You could be getting acoustic feedback from the speakers to the TT's. Lower the volume or somehow isolate them from room sounds and vibrations.

Technics 1200, no sound out right speaker

And it will be. I can almost steak my life on it. Easy to replace. Most djs had to already. Most off us went to Radio Shack and bought the 6 foot gold RCA's and cut them in half for both decks. Its not that hard to do. Any problems message me.

Digital optical output for technics 5.1 surround sound receiver

I went to the HDTV plasma manual. It stated the only way the digital optical audio output would work (from this TV) was to go to the menu, select audio and turn off the TV speakers. Basically, it had nothing to do with the technics receiver.

Popping noise while computer is powering down. Any suggestions?

Hi,
Lower your main sound volume. Double click the speaker icon in the bottom right hand corner of your windows.(was it maxed out?)

go into control panel /sounds and select a lower bass setting in your sound settings. You usually have a choice of rock & roll ( lots of bass) opera setting, classical etc.. choose one with less bass.

Make sure your LINE IN is DISABLED. It may be causing this static feedback.

You may have blown your speakers by playing sound way too loud. You may need to buy new speakers.

Thank you and Good luck. *s*

Technics sa-g78 no sound from front speakers

This happens on mine also. My theory is a relay. If you turn the volume up (Waaay up) momentarily, you "burn through" the oxidation on the relay and the sound comes back - for awhile. Some day, I'll get in there and replace it with something more robust.
