I have a toyota rav4 2009 limited. my bluetooth buttons quit working and my phone says im connected to the car and it rings and i can talk over the speaker. I just cant use the buttons

I can't use the file button or the ones on the steering wheel

I believe this is for your tire pressure sensors. If the tire pressure in one of your tires drops it will alert you with a light on your dash. When tire pressure is restored, press this button to reset the sensor.

I disabled the bluetooth from my phone. I then turned off my phone and rebooted it. Once the phone was turned back on, I paired it up with the bluetooth and then it worked. So disabling and removing everything and starting over worked.

That is for your on star phone that came with the truck. As long as you are paid up on the on star and have minutes on your phone you purchase them seperately. You can press the button and use the phone the little speaker is really a microphone and the speakers for your phone come thru on your radio.

check fuses first

My iPhone has always worked wonderfully via Bluetooth in my 2007 Toyota Solara. On vacation, my car was parked in driveway 5 days. Since then, Bluetooth icon shows no connection and I can't ge
iPhones are funny things, but I could not function without mine. Try clearing all the devices out of the car and then reinstalling each device again. Make sure the Bluetooth button is enabled on the phone, if the vehicle assigns an importance number to the phone, label yours number 1, and your husbands number 2. Sorry hubby, it's her car and she has calls to make.

Bluetooth in car quits working
I have an issue with my Wi-Fi at home that's just like that. I go to my car and instead of it hooking up to the Bluetooth right away, it either takes time or just doesn't. Its more than likely a software issue with your phone or the receiver is not detecting your phone. I would have your carrier look at your phone if its still under warranty

you may have to down load a driver so that the blue tooth recognises you new phone.. Talk to a phone /radio installer shop as they will be able to tell you what you have to do to get it working

Just bought a 2008 Taurus X Sel. It does not have a manuel. The Radio/CD player has a phone symbol on it. When I press it, it says no phone connected. How do I connect a phone to it?
Most likely that is a Bluetooth connection. You need a phone capable of Bluetooth connection and it should work automatically. If you have a phone with that capability, but it is turned off, then just turn the Bluetooth in your phone on and you should be good to go. If your call phone is not Bluetooth compatible, and you happen to have a friend with a bluetooth capable phone, have your friend sit in the car and give it a shot -- if the phone button still does not work, then there might be some sort of hard-line that you have to connect, but in a late model car like a 2008, it is more likely that you just need a phone that can talk to the car.

Your issue is one of range.
The blutooth connection to your phone has a limited range.
Mostly, that range is about one metre and stepping out of your car takes you out of that range.
Also, the metal of the car will also interfere with the blutooth signal.
So, make sure you turn on the ring tone on your phone when you leave the car as some phones switch this off when blutooth connected.
You may have to turn blutooth off on your phone for the ring tones to switch back on..

I've just bought a new Uni take and talk Nokia
there are two cradles available for the 6300, one has two connectors should work when you put the phone in the cradle and switch on the key, the other has one connector and is bluetooth, this requires pairing, you will need to search for bluetooth devices and pair using code 1234. The use of steering wheel controls is not possible with bury car kit. hope this helps. dan
