Can not get HDMI input sources to work like DVD... (by 2 users)

posted by Oly666 on Nov 25, 2007

I have a Denon DVD-2910 DVD player. Works when directly connected to the TV via HDMI. When I try to connect via the AVR 3808Ci I get no picture. In the AMPs settings under HDMI monitor and see the correct resolution and colour space as i change it on the DVD player.
Any body any ideas?

I'm having a similar problem with the HDMI from my DirecTV HD DVR receiver. My HDMI output from my home theater PC seems to work fine through the Denon. My TV only has a DVI input so I have to use an HDMI to DVI converter at the Denon HDMI monitor out connector. I've been assuming that the converter had something to do with not passing the HDMI signal from the HD DVR. Does anyone know if that could be the reason?

Can you Help with these Receivers problems?
