No reason for the audio not to work on the RF cable. Check under menu and option and make sure audio is set to fixed and not variable.
SOURCE: I just bought the Vizio
Make sure its all hooked up right two wires switched could throw off the speakers
SOURCE: What cables do I need to hook up my 32" sharp
cable is ok but a.g.c volt .12 not poper voltage
SOURCE: I recently purchased an LG NB3740 Soundbar and
Disconnect the HDMI cable and use only the optical cable for better sound. Don't connect both at the same time. Once the set sees the optical cable it switches to it.
I am going to guess here that you are running this through an audio system or a cable box. Your audio needs to come form the source, not the TV. Ex. If you were to go optic cable out of your cable box and into the TV optic then you would get sound out of your TV speakers. Go direct to sound bar.
Testimonial: "It's a Polaroid tv we ran the optical cable out of the soundbar into the headphone connection behind the tv with a jack on the end of the optical cable but no sound or working! No cable or sky as not using that using built in free view in tv"
