_Laundry loaded with a OE error and water not draining. _I manually drained the system, took apart the drain and did not find a clog or anything to prevent the motor from turning. _Pump motor reads continuity. _Ran multiple SPIN cycles and then a RINSE and SPIN cycle and actually had the pump run for a few seconds and even for a minute or so one time but could not repeat and hasn't since. _checked the Pressure Switch and see continuity between common and outside contact. Tried to increase pressure by blowing into the tube using a straw on the end of tube but saw no change. Not sure how the pressure is created inside the bowl. _There was no overfill condition originally and I have not tried to run a normal cycle because the washer is in an upstairs location and draining is difficult and messy. ___I believe that something is preventing the voltage from being sent to the pump motor but I have am not sure what logic conditions need to be satisfied for this to happen.I keep looking at the pressure switch because the drum will perform a load sense and then go into a spin cycle with water in it which sloshes around. Questions: --Shouldn't the drain pump normally be running prior to the spin? --what causes the change in the pressure switch? Does the switch only change at a "full" level? Please only answer if you have a clear understanding of the system. I am trying to avoid excessive expense in this repair and swapping parts unnecessarily. I am beginning to think that it is the control board and do not want to spend hundreds of dollars if it is not. Thanks.

check to see if your pump is slightly plugged with a sock or ?
Your top loader should pump out in about a minute and a half when totally full of water.
you should check your pressure switch hose for a pin hole or better still just replace the hose and it should sort your problem out good luck hamstel

sounds like drain is plugged. this is a fairly easy fix,and you actually get paid to do it. unscrew the bottom panel of your washer should be 3 screws on the very bottom then you will see a white plug that is about 2 1/2" unscrew it (make sure you have a bowl under it water will leak ) and pull it out. this is where you get paid you will find all kinds of change and junk just clean it out reinstall and your clothes will be a lot drier after the spin cycle

CHECK THE FOLLOWING---
1. Clogged drain line or water pump
Check to see if there's something stuck inside the pump or the drain
hose connected to the pump (pump is usually located at the bottom
and towards the back of the washing machine).
2. Water Pump
If the drain line isn't clogged, you may have a problem with the
water pump such as a frozen pulley or a broken impeller. If that's
the case replace the water pump. Note: if you have a belt driven
washer, check the belt(s) for cracks, as this would be a perfect
time to replace the belt(s) if needed.

if yours is the same, the drain is hidden behind the lower access panel on the front (how convenient, huh?). I don't understand why they didn't just make a recess hole for it. I've just left one screw loose in the center and it kinda "compression" fits. We clean this out regularly, as my wife and family don't check pockets well. :)
Hello &
Welcome to FixYa
OE is a drain error and is displayed when the
washer is unable to drain water. Please check the drain hose and drain pump
filter for any clogs to clean the error. Please get back to me if you have any
other questions.
