Ok ..if that program already runing on your computer ...and blocked some features and placed a band in the lower right corner ..it means that you didnt payed attention and installed a bad copy of xp ...and when you tryed to update something like windows media player ....to 10 or 11 ...or simply ran into computer with automatic updates.....supposing that you have XP sp2 I recommend to reinstall ...but you also try to restore to an earlier date using system restore from the control panel ...or try this removal ...:

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

try doing a cleanup.
defrag and disk cleanup will help plus get rid of stuff you dont need anymore.
plus you can clean out your prefetch folder plus your temp folder.
this should help you out a bit.

You may be a victim of softwwre counterfeiting

Microsoft has started bugging the users of non genuine copies of Windows. If you are also running a non genuine or pirated copy of Windows then there is a full chance of you getting this notification one day or the other.
These notifications start coming back again after some time and do not feel good. Though I never encourage piracy but here is how you can remove this problem:

1. Before doing anything serious try restoring your system. If the problem is occurring after the Windows Update then System Restore will surely help.

2. But if it does not then do try this, launch Windows Task Manager.

3. Locate the process "wgatray.exe" and end it.

4. Log in into the Safe Mode and delete the file WgaTray.exe from c:\Windows\System32

5. Also delete the WgaTray.exe from c:\Windows\System32\dllcache

6. Type regedit in Run to open Registry Editor, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\Notify key.

7. Delete the folder WgaLogon and all of its contents.

8. Restart the PC normally.

Update:

Download this WGA remover tool called RemoveWGA.exe, just download it and run.

Pls...help me to remove this problem my computer screen say that counterfeit sotfware

If you click on the Genuine advantage tool and it will give you the option to re-enter your windows CD Key.

If after re-entering the key the problem persists, you can try contacting Microsoft as your software may have been used by another person. This may or may not work.

Run a full virus scan first. Get a few different spyware and malware detector programs and run them. Also get a registry cleaner. You probably picked up a trojan that just messes with you.

I am a victim of software counterfeiting

The only way you will ever get to get rid of that annoying counterfeit message is to install a genuine windows software, i.e. you need to purchase a unique windows software/CD for that pc. If you purchase the windows software, then during installation, in which you much boot from CD/DVD drive, you must select repair. That way all your documents will be preserved intact for you. The counterfeit message really simply is saying to you that, “look, this copy of the windows is actually owned by someone else and has been registered as such on Microsoft server.” Microsoft requires that each PC have a unique CD/software.

Virus on my computer help!

Hi,

Don't worry, trojan.adclicker is not a serious threat, only some spyware which is not anywhere near as malicious as a virus. There are two things you can do to get rid of it though..

1) Follow these instructions (They are long winded but will work)
http://www.symantec.com/security_response/writeup.jsp?docid=2002-091214-5754-99&tabid=3

2) Download Spybot S&D. This is a really good bit of software that should get rid of it much more easily for you, and will probably get rid of other similar stuff on your pc. Follow the link below and then install the program, then scan the system, then fix problems.

http://www.safer-networking.org/en/mirrors/index.html

I would recommend trying option 2 first, it will be less hassle.

Hope this was helpful
