Hello e3tech, faatmaan has given you some valuable and accurate information. I would like to offer you some additional information that may help. i am not sure to what degree you have technical experience regarding problems as deep as you are experiencing. I just want to try to help you starting with the basics. We can get the proton accelerator out as a last resort. :-) In the event you have not tried to reset the code (which you can in the event that this code was a temporary condition or erroneous to start with) let me walk you thru the process of resetting the code and lets see if the copier can recover without going into the ugly (but prehaps necessary) and expensive stuff. Again I am just trying to help and this is the first thing anyone should do. We need to enter service mode, usually accessed by the expensive on site technician but you can handle it. This is the first thing I would do if I was onsite. I have been working on copiers for 20 years, which may merely mean I have been on a reign of terroe for that long, screwing everything up! LOL .Ok in order to enter sevice mode on your machine you will need to press the yellow button marked "clear modes" then then numbers 1-0-7 in slow but firm sequence, and the the orange stop clear button and hold IT down tull the screen changes and you will hear a beep. Once again......Clear modes, then 1>0>7 (in sequence) then hold down the orange stop/clear button till the screen changes and you hear a beep. (note....the beep is not guaranteed as it can be turen off prior to what we are doing but you will see the screen change). the new screen may say a number of things but for sure it will have a block named copier. Press that block which will bring up another new screen with all kinds of stuff that you need not be concerned with. The fact that you are at this screen is the cool thing. At this point, turn the main power swith off....!!!!!! THE ONE NEXT TO YOUR LEFT KNEE!!!!!! not the one on the op panel. Unplugging the copier will do the same if you are unsure. The point is to totally de-energize the copier. Turn the copier back on, and this point it will know that some one who knows what they are doing it attempting to help it recover andthe copier will wake up witha new outlook on life and will try to successfully restart back to normal. Without the steps we just went through the copier would have not went through the servicr mode process required foe it to truly have a chance to recover. When you turn it back on, the copier will look at all the critical sub systems it monitors before it feels comfortable to say "READY". In this case the errer code has to do with the very high temperature area called the fuser. As you probably understand, the manufacturer of the copier has designed the copier to keep close tabs on this area as to not burn down your building. So id there is any oddity in this area the machine throws a temper tantrum. So, lets hope hope the machine restarts, and it was a temporary thing , and you wont have to go the route that faatmaan suggested, which again may be absolutely accurate and well detailed. I just thought we could try the reset and hope for the best as it is a genuine and viable option and alot less expensive. I wish you the best. By the way, in the future, ALL error codes you get in the future(and there..are a hell of alot of them) can be reset in the manner I described ealier. This can be a big help for you . It just so happens that this and a few others in the "500" series are less likely to stay reset. I hope I have helped save you alarge wad of cash, but a minimum you are armed with a few valuable tools that may save you buttocks in the future. Take care.................. SPINAL

It's not the PCU (photo CONDUCTOR unit), It's either a thermistor or blown out heater lamp in the fuser. Call a tech. The code can only be reset in service mode

That error code refers to the FUSING WEB END.
First of all you must see if the fusing web is end.
If the error occurs before the web ended you have to upgrade your firmware. There is a release firmware that corrects this symptom.
