SOURCE: dryer will not run...checked fuses ok.....240v ok....

if it won't turn or anything its probably the neutral wire on the terminal block in the rear of the unit, they carry a high amount of current and can get brittle and break off or burn off in time check the incoming power connections first,if it turns but doesn't heat, then it may be your thermal fuse located in the vent duct housing inside the dryer if this opens you will not get any heat from either a gas or electrically heated dryer

SOURCE: Can I use a 5 amp 240v AC domestic fuse to replace 5 amp 12v fuse

A fuse is rated for it's current carrying capacity so yes you can use a 240 volt 5 Amp fuse in a 12 Volt circuit.
The Voltage is given to indicate the insulation of the fuse, i.e. if you used a 12 volt fuse in a 240 Volt circuit it may arc and therefore is not suitable. You can always use a fuse with a higher voltage rating in a lower voltage rated circuit.
A 5 Amp fuse will carry 5 Amps indefinately and will only blow at 2 or three times it's rated current.

SOURCE: 12v &240v connections on an ENGEL COOLER

AUTOMATIC AC/DC CHANGEOVER: All Engel Fridge Freezers can be plugged into both AC and DC at the same time. The Engel is smart enough to use the AC while available and then automatically switch to DC when the AC is no longer working. It will also sense the resumption of AC power and automatically switch back to AC making it ideal for high hurricane areas and places where power disruption is common.

My caravan lights don't work on 12v and fault light is on when 240v is plugged in could problem be dead battery

A vehicle is 12 volts not 240v. You will blow fuses and burn wiring putting 240 into 12v. What kind of car or truck is this?

Suzuki grand vitara 1994 internal fuse box.. My ex took my car apart, and I don't know how to put it back together

engine bay box, GV 94 means non usa car. (harder to find docs)
ok so you or prev. owner pulled them an forgot, ok.
and the PO lost the cover, because, its all there on that cover.
suz does sell a new cover, keeping water out of fuse box, a great idea.
and putting the 60 in the 40 slot is a bad idea.
my 95 has 4 fuses (usa car)
60,50,40,30
there are 4 wires, output from said fuses, each a diffr.color
the 40 runs white-yell. if head lamps dead, this is it.
my 30 runs ABS
my 50 runs all if igniton , ECU/EFI. etc. even the radio key on.
the 60 runs the whole box you are looking at. runs ALL THINGS.

My camper fridge , Engel SRBT-565D Does not run on 12V ?

The compressor is on the way out and exceeds the current capacity of the 12v inverter circuit. The compressor runs on 32V AC @50 Hz and the inverter circuit is not able to produce sufficient current when the compressor becomes worn. It still runs on 240V circuit as this is a straight step down transformer from 240 volts and is not current limited..

Electrolux 3 way fridge will not work on 12v or 240,switch lights up, ok on gas. can i repaire?or have i got to replace? i think the model No is rm4200 or rm4230

Hi My three way fridge has the same problem. Have solved the 12v problem as it was not wired to the 12v invertor. Do you have an on board battery supply? the 12v is usless and runs a battery flat in no time. Better off to use gas. Hope to have the electrician here next week to check 240v so will let you know if we find a problem. Graham.

Fan switch stopped working 1 mth after replacing the resistor

1) Check for +12v power from the fan select switch at the resistor pack - (If +12v is available there you may again have a faulty resistor pack).
2) Apply +12v directly to the fan motor to check that it runs ok.

Blower motor will not work

Do further tests at the relay to ascertain whether the fault lies before or after the relay.
Check power availability at the supply side of the relay contacts - should have 12v from a supply fuse on one side of the normally open contact (note -this supply may only be available when Ign or Acc sw is on).
If power supply is ok at the relay contact, check control input to relay operate coil.

If a ground (or 12v) operates the relay, operate the relay with a local ground (or 12v) and check blower motor runs.

If all above OK, check control signal from fan switch is arriving at the relay control coil.- if not trace wiring back to the switch.

Fried HD?

Yep, it's probably fried, a little too much juice went in.
While the drive itself might be ok, the external casing is another story.

Try opening the case and removing the HD and plugging that in on your PC directly as a slave drive.
