Question about Back to Basics CC500 12-Cup Coffee Maker
Same leaking here - TEMPORARY solution: tighten the screws underneath.
Unfortunately the magic doesn't last long. I'm about to through it away too.

As I posted earlier the number is: 1-800-290-1851. They have some carafes left and will actually ship one to you completely free of charge. However, I talked to them the other day, and while the first lady had told me they redesined it so it would no longer leak, I found out they actually couldn't and have discontinued it altogether. She asked if I would rather have a brand new coffee maker, not the same one, as the same thing would no doubt happen again. These people are very easy to get along with. I thing we liked so much about it was being able to dispense coffee while it was brewing, but she said they all now have a pause feature so that you can do that. It's just that you have to actually pick it up and pour it. Hope you guys follow up with this number. They're very helpful and very generous.

I also have a Back To Basic Coffee maker Model CC500. My wife and I thoroughly love this coffee maker. We have experienced no problems with ours" at all. However, I broke the carafe recently. As you know there is no universal replacement for this type of carafe. I scoured the web, but came up with nothing. My wife, God bless her, found the owners manual that came with the coffee maker and called the 800 number. They gave her another number to Customer Solutions and it was there we found that we could order a new carafe. The number is 1-800-688-1989. We were quoted a total price with shipping of $21.65. We placed the order and it took about10 days for it to arrive. Everything is happy again. I hope this helps any one in need of finding a replacement carafe.
Also, as a thought, I have seen this same coffee maker on sale at Tuesday Morning's for only $14.95. So if you have one of these stores in your town or close by it might be worth taking a look and see if they have it. You get the whole thing for less than you can order the replacement carafe. I checked our local stores, but they are out and don't know if they will get any more or not. So we chose to order the replacement. Again, hope this helps.

Same situation here, started leaking after just a couple months. I sealed it using a rubberized cement but it didn't last. I had at one point seen a place to get a replacement seal but can't find it any more.

Well, I see this is an old posting but I have a CC500 with a leak problem and it's only a few months old. Upon removing the screws which hold the seal housing on the underside of the carafe, I found a small crack in the plastic seal surface around the hole. I am going to repair the crack with superglue but have no faith that this will stop the leak. I searched the internet for a replacement carafe and haven't been able to find one. I suspect this unit will hit the garbage can as no generic carafe would work with this unit. Sorry, I think the solution is to purchase another coffee maker.
