Question about Refrigerators

I think it is the condensor that is making a buzzing noise. Anything I can do short of replacing the condensor? I've cleaned the coils and vaccuumed out dust...feel that the condensor is hot, and making a noise

Frigidaire upright commercial freezer started a LOUD buzz and the second light was on at the bottom front..turned off..then back on one hour later,.still loud buzz,..any idea what s wrong ?

The green light should be a normal running light and the other one, either yellow or red(ish) should be a high temp alarm. Check the contents to make sure they are still reasonablly frozen and if not start finding the cause....Is the condensor fan motor running correctly? Is the condensor coil clean and free from dirt/lint/fuzz which serves to restrict the transfer of heat? Is there an excessive accumulation of ice build up indicating possibly a problem with the automatic defrost cycle?

What causes my laptop to make short beeping/buzzing noise?

What you describe almost certainly translates into those indecipherable buzzing sounds that suggest the state when the audio hardware is getting rubbish input signals - due to the hardware crash - and thus producing rubbish noises. This does not necessarily suggest the audio hardware to be the faulty component; it can be any combination of components, unfortunately.

Also it is possible that your laptop increases temperature over normal indications..

Whyaloudclunkwhen refrigerator turns off?

Two things to look into
1) make sure that the condensor is clean - condensor is either a static tube and wire coil on the back of the refrigerator normally black in colour or a fan forced condensor located / accessed from the back of the refrigerator - again make sure it's clean
B) the other cause is the internal mounting of the compressor can make this type of noise - generally there's not a lot can be done other this type of problem (generally the refrigerator will continue to work just noise when it turns off

clean condensor is still the most important

Katherine,

Many times when a desktop is making a strange buzzing noise - it is due to a fan malfunction of some sort. Other reasons include a power supply that is faulty or possibly a bad internal speaker.

I would first check the fan(s) for the computer. Start by turning the computer off all of the way. Next, unplug the cords from the unit. You'll need to isolate just the computer tower itself. Next, you'll want to get some compressed air or a vaccuum and gently clean out the areas where the system case fan vents are. If you know how to open the case for your desktop, it wouldn't be a bad idea to make a quick visual check inside of the case for things that may be caught in the fans. Some desktops open via screws on the back plane, and some open with a pull tab/lever.

If cleaning out the dust doesn't resolve the buzzing noise - then you'll need to make sure that the noise is not part of the electronics. If you are hearing an actual electrical buzz and not a speaker or fan noise, then there is likely a larger problem with the computer. In that case - I would take the computer to a certified professional for diagnosis.

Another culprit of buzzing noise may be a CD/DVD drive with a disk stuck in it. Make sure that you have ejected the drive to ensure no disk is stuck in the drive.

I hope this information helps!

Its been working great and now for the last two days it works fine the compresser kicks on but when it kicks off and trys to come back on it pops the electric breaker. its been working fine on the same...

Whether its a central air unit or a wall unit, make sure the condensor is clean and air can flow thru it
make sure the condensor fan is running, the condensor fan keeps the compressor from over heating
if the condensor fan stops running the compressor will over heat and trip the circuit breaker. good luck!

My Air Conditioner makes a loud buzzing noise now. It didn't do that before, now it makes so much noise I can't hear anything over it

Buzzing noise - contactor. maybe a bug got in the contacts or maybe the coil is bad but in any case if you replace the contactor the buzz will go away.

Freezer is not working to optimum capability. Meats and frozen foods harden, but ice cream and breads do not. I have the temperature control to almost maximum. Any ideas?

remove bottom kickplate and clean condensor coils, pull away from wall and vaccuum behind and underneath. if the machine cant breath, it cant cool properly
