Question about Televison & Video
Some possibilities are:
- incorrect screen / bias voltages
- a video / blanking circuitry fault
- a bad connection (may cause the above mentioned faults)
- a short in the picture tube may show as excessive picture brightness
- a burnt out or shorted resistance or a capacitor
Try tapping with a non conductive stick on the circuit board around various components (also the board attached to the picture tube neck), see if it affects the picture (if so, there's most probably a bad solder or connection contact.
