This is a tiny amp good for practice at low volume levels. You are likely overdriving it and the power amp chip goes into thermal protect. If you volume level is much louder than a small boom box, you are driving it too hard. Best to get a bigger amp.

Try a factory reset:

alesissr16logo53x41.jpgrmidialesissr16logo53x41.gif Performing a 'Reset' on your Sr16 will will 'clear' it's memory and re-initialize all of it's parameters to the original factory settings. This implies that:
  • All of your User Patterns will be erased.
  • All Songs will be erased.
  • All drum assignments you have made will be erased.

  • None of the above actions should be an issue to you as:
  • It is assumed that at some point you have Download And Save A Copy Of The Sr16's Current State.
  • It is assumed that at some point you have Export any 'User' Patterns you may have programed into your Sr16 and imported them into your _rMidi installation.
  • It is assumed that at some point you have Export any 'User' Kits you may have programed into your Sr16 and imported them into your _rMidi installation.

  • Perform The Reset
To perform a 'Reset' on your Sr16:
  • Turn the pwer off and wait a few seconds.
  • Press and hold the PLAY and ERASE buttons while turning in the power.
  • Continue holding down these buttons for at least three seconds after turning on the power.

  • If this doesn't fix it, check power adapter. If that is OK then service is required

How do I print the nozzle check pattern?

    Dear Sir,

plz flow this step for solve your probelm

These are the 2 important features for maintenance of your printer.

    Nozzle Check

If your printouts are unexpectedly faint or have some missing dots or lines, it means that certain colour ink does not flow out nicely and consistantly. This is when you need to perform a nozzle check. If your nozzle pattern is good, then, your printouts will be good and nice as well. If your nozzle pattern breaks at certain parts, it means you need to clean the print head. Here's how to perform a nozzle check:
    1. Click Start

    2. Click Control Panel

    3. Click Printers and Faxes

    4. Right click your printer icon

    5. Click Printing Preference

    6. Click Maintenance

    7. Click Nozzle Check

    8. Click Print

    9. Click Finish (if the nozzle pattern is perfect) OR

10.Click Clean (if the nozzle pattern breaks at certain places)

The following is the sample of good nozzle pattern and a bad nozzle pattern:

    Good nozzle pattern:

    good+nozzle+pattern.bmp
Bad nozzle pattern (Head Cleaning needed):

    bad+nozzle+pattern.bmp

    Head Cleaning

Head cleaning is required when the nozzle pattern is not perfect. Usually, this action is needed when you have printed a lot or you have taken out the cartridge for refilling or for other purposes. Here's how to perform a head cleaning:

    1. Click Start

    2. Click Control Panel

    3. Click Printers and Faxes

    4. Right click your printer icon

    5. Click Printing Preference

    6. Click Maintenance

    7. Click Head Cleaning

    8. Click Start

    9. Click Print Nozzle Patterns (to check the ink flow after cleaning)

Carryout a Manual Print Head Alignment If Possible.

    Manual Print Head Alignment

If the results of Automatic Print Head Alignment are not satisfactory, follow the procedure below to perform Manual Print
    Head Alignment.

1 Make sure that the machine is turned on, and then load three sheets of A4 or Letter-sized plain paper in the Auto Sheet Feeder or the Cassette.

Important. You cannot print the print head alignment pattern if paper of size other than A4 or Letter is loaded. Be sure to use A4 or Letter-sized plain paper.

2 Open the Paper Output Tray, and then open the Output Tray Extension.
    (1) Put your finger in the rounded indent of the Paper Output Tray and open it gently.
    (2) Open the Output Tray Extension.
3 Press the Paper Feed Switch to select the paper source where you have loaded paper.
4 Select Settings on the HOME screen.
5 Select Maintenance, then press the OK button.
    The Maintenance screen is displayed.
6 Select Manual head align, then press the OK button.
    The confirmation screen is displayed.

Note. If you select Head alignment print, the machine exits the process after printing the current head position adjustment values.

7 Select Yes, then press the OK button.
8 When the Print Head alignment pattern is printed, select Yes, then press the OK button.
9 Look at the printout. From the patterns, select the most even, least irregular patterns for each column and input their numbers. Press the OK button.

    The 3eBK head stopped printing.

Try below some steps which might help you resolve the problem.

Print Head Cleaning / Head Refreshing If the printed Nozzle Check Pattern is broken, missing, or a specific color is not printed, clean the print head.
    1. Press the <Menu> button on the printers operation panel repeatedly until [MAINTENANCE] appears in the LCD.
    2. Press the left [<] or right [>] arrow buttons to select the cleaning setting you want. Select [HEAD CLEANING] or [HEAD REFRESHING] for deep print head cleaning.

    3. Press the <OK> button.
