Question about RIM Blackberry Curve 8300

No screen w/ red light blinking fast 4x's

I was told by the Verizon rep to take out the battery once a week, to let it "power down" and cycle. I noticed I was getting several message signals with NO messages having been received, so I decided to take the battery out to power cycle it. Upon putting the battery back IN, I now have a phone that will not turn on, and the upper right hand light just blinks 4 times very quickly.

I am presuming that I will need to take this BACK into the verizon store tomorrow....but, in the meantime, have NO phone, and my children are away at the coast....this is my sole way of communicating with them....and, of course, it's after hours for Verizon.

Any help out there?

I'm having the same problem... Finished a call (that dropped about 6 times) - Caller hung up - About 10 minutes later went to make a call - Screen was black - No keys working - red light blinking - indicating it was receiving data... Tried Soft reboot (Alt+Cntrl+Del) - no go... I could put the charger to the device and the screen would come "Up" - but the keys still did not work - and the screen would go black quickly... Take the charger off - same sequence... Took the battery out - discharged... Put the battery back in - Hour Glass comes up...after a bit the Verizon Logo...after more time...it jumps to the main screen...you can see it's trying to validate something - but the screen goes dark again - quickly... So what gives...?

Magnavox tv light blinks 1 then 4x fast.

Try to download the service manual to your Magnavox model, from internet. The TV shows fault code Here the fault code is "14"
First one blink is one=1
Second four blinks = 4
The service manual will have all the details about it.

I have a 2002 Sony KP-57WS500 that occasionly (randomly?) flashes red lines and then goes to a full screen red while giving an electrical "cracking" sound before shutting down. Once shut down,...

Seems like your RED CRT is shorting out or failing. Do you notice any other colors besides just red having problems? The blinking of the red light eight times is a High voltage error. It could be your D board but I'm thinking it is more likely the red crt is probably shorting out.

Mine did this, I went to Best Buy where I bought it. They didn't really seem to know, said it could be the power cord to the wall, but they didn't sell them. But they could set me up with an upgrade (and new 2 year contract that I didn't want). Anyway, I went to Radio Shack and showed them my MiFi 2200 and they had the new wall charger power cord there. Works now, problem solved for $25 instead of a new 2 year contract.

Battery runs out in less than 60 min, used to go for hours.

Hi. With batteries it is very important to recharge them after each use, overnight. I have seen batteries last 7 years in a mobility scooter, because the batteries were charged properly. Batteries store electrical energy by means of a cemical reaction, and if left in a discharged condition for too long, damage is done to the internal plates of the battery.
Batteries are designed to do so many charge cycles.
If a battery is run down to 75% or more, you will not get many cycles out of it. If you only run it down by 25%, you will get 100's of charge cycles out of it.
I would say that you will need to purchase new batteries for it.
When changing the batteries, change one completely first, and then the other. This way you will be less likely to mix up the wires.
Red is positive, and black is negative.
Good luck. Neil.

50" philips won't power on. get the 4x red blink led light

i have fixed 3 of this tv, with that exact problem in the last 2 weeks, needs a power supply, you can try to unplug it again, plug it in, hit the power button, as soon as it turns green, unplug it again, after 15 seconds , plug it back in, if power doesnt turn on by itself, turn it on, if it turns red again, emediatily hit power again, may have to hit power a few times in a row, but most of the time you can get it to come on this way, once it is on, it should run ok, until you turn it back off, but not a fix, needs power board

While charging my O2 atom exec, the LED (Flash light) does not glow red ?

I have the same problem. What I did several time is to actually shut down the phone, remove the battery and leave it like that for several hours (3 to 4 hours). Then, I put the battery back in the phone, and it would charge again. However, due to the long time with no battery, the phone's clock would be reset to January 2007.

I found no other work around right now. However, I have to do this more and more often, almost once a week ...

Shutdown; red LED blinks 4x

The most likely reason for the no picture might be the back light is gone and needs to be replaced, now as for the LED light blinking on different intervals is because its diagnosing it self unfortunately the user manual does not have any information on this part only by contacting the Phillips customer support you might get a better idea, but check your back light first it may just be that. Also try to check your Manufacturer warranty repair.
