I have the same problem and i know what it is. There is a little tiny switch and it turns on Camera when u slide cover down and it is broken. You should take your phone to repair or buy spare part https://www.oemcellphoneparts.com/products/Nokia-6110-LB-Flex-Assembly.html and fix it yourself.

SOURCE: Media control buttons doesn't work???
Actually many laptops & their media are designed only for working with XP or previous versions. So its not neccessary that they work good with Vista also. Its true that they should be compatible with Vista but not very necessary. So you may need to change your OS again to access all functionality.
If this solution was helpful to you then please rate 100% (or FIXYA) for this solution, otherwise don't rate at all. It was my pleasure helping you.
