Error 30 means "Malfunctions related to the shutter have been detected". Recharge the battery, remove and replace it after about 20 seconds, then do a reset to default settings through the camera menu. If it still won't work you'll need send it in for repairs.
Error 30 is a malfunction related to the shutter. Recharge the battery, reset the camera to factory default and see if that clears it. if not it needs to go in for repair.
I have no solution, but have the same problem, sort of. I use the unit for about 5 minutes and it shuts off - even with new batteries. I bought the same rechargeable batteries you did - the are great and have used them for other stuff. I have sent a request into the company for some answers.
Depending on how old the unit is,bateries only recharge for so long and will stop taking a charge.Try taking a multi meter and check the battery voltage and see if it even has any charge and if not check charger to make sure the charger has voltage coming out.You may need to replace charger.Multi meters are enexpensive at any Radio Shack and can tell you what is going on.
