I want to know how to remove the hydrolock adapter on a Moen wand hose assembly so I can tighten the shank with the tube wrench; then I will want to re-connect the hydrolock. Showing me a tutorial on how to put install the faucet does not help.

  • morgan182 Aug 01, 2009

So far 2 experts have pointed me to the exact same installation graphic from moen. I installed the faucet. I know how to install it. Whgat I DO NOT KNOw is how to REMOVE the hydrolock adapter to give me access to the shank, so I can tighten the nut. I.e., I need to DE-CLIP the hyrdolock adapter and I also need to know if it will then RE-CLIP.

Pls elaborate on use of needle nose plus flat-head. What mechanism disconnects clip? Will it reconnect? This is not obvious...

Very small flat-head screw driver and a pair of needle nose should work well to grasp the the clip

I need a replacement handle, including all the parts and hoses, on my Price Pfister Marielle kitchen faucet model # T26-4NEE

Most new kitchen faucets feature single-handle control levers and washerless designs that rarely require maintenance. Additional features include brushed metallic finishes, detachable spray nozzles, or even push-button controls.Connect the faucet to hot and cold water lines with easy-to-install flexible supply tubes made-from vinyl or braided steel. If your faucet has a separate sprayer, install the sprayer first. Pull the sprayer hose through the sink opening and attach to the faucet body before installing the faucet.

Where local codes allow, use plastic tubes for drain hookups. A wide selection of extensions and angle fittings lets you easily plumb any sink configuration. Manufacturers offer kits that contain all the fittings needed for attaching a food disposer or dishwasher to the sink drain system.

Moen has a diverter built in that will need to be replaced.

use the same steps as when you replaced the cartridge, but this time you will need to remove the spout, there is a small diverter, you will see it when spout is removed.

take this part with you to the hardware store, along with the O Rings from the spout, as they will need to be replaced also

use a non silicone faucet lubricant when putting back together

Today, water was coming out of faucet but will now only come out of the sprayer and nothing out of the faucet. This has happened a couple of times recently but "self-corrected". The faucet is 6 years old.

Hi, there are filters that need cleaning periodically. Undo the nut where the water comes out from the tap, use an appropriate sized spanner, remove meshed filter, clean under running water and replace.
Hope this helps

the white plastic clip needs to be removed. squise the clip together and push it out at the same time should come out fairly easy, then just pull the black piece off.

Need to fix a broken moen kitchen faucet

I had the same problem with my Aberdeen single lever with a pull-out sprayer a few months back. If you are the original owner of the faucet, it's under warranty; you shouldn't have to pay for any parts. Call: 1-800-BUY-MOEN (1-800-289-6636) and tell Customer Service what the problem is. They will send you the Handle Mechanism Kit at no charge. (Mine was part #93980 for my Aberdeen faucet, but yours may be a different part number.) It's tricky to take apart and get back together but my husband and I have zero plumbing experience and got it all fixed in about 20 minutes. The Moen.com website also has exploded parts diagrams of all their faucets so you can identify exactly what part you need, and they have some little videos and slideshows to show how to replace parts. If you can't reach Customer Service on the phone, you can go to "Contact Us" on their website and email them a description of your problem.
