My Swiffer Wetjet has broken down less than a year I pur$hased it- very upset what are you willing to do?

You have fuses and relays . The fuses are or should br labled inside each cover if still there as well as on the fuse block itself, If not I can look under the hood of mine and tell you. The relays from left to right thats passenger to driver and numbered including the empty spaces as mine hase three on the right and two on the left with three emty slots in between. Now Olds seems to have kept this araingement for some time also my '98 88 has ABS as part of TCS but no relays there and diferent climate controls over the years it is posible you have more or less than are presnt on mine the complete list is as follows
#1 - AC compressor control for the compressors clutch
#2 - Horn relay
#3 - AC blower fan motor on, at low speed on the '98
#4 - AC blower motor off or high speed depending on year, not present on my "98
#5 - ABS pump relay ,not present on my '98
#6 - ABS Main relay also labled as pump relay for some years, not present on '98
#7 - High speed cooling or radiator fan
#8 - Low speed cooling or radiator fan

Is it same problem all the time or different? Are they using computer to get answers from car? If they keep telling you to replace different stuff and it breaks down after a couple days. It could be the on board computer is broken. Don't laugh; our 85 Ford Escort had us replacing stuff all the time. It would have to be towed in at least once a week. Finally the right mechanic got it and he found the on board computer was messed up. Got a used one off junk yard and it worked great for several years until my son wrecked it.

The car would not start if the chain had broken,pure nonsense

The plastic guides may be worn & the tensioners gunked up

Chains seldom break,belts break

Did your mechanic do a cylinder leak down test

The more I read questions on this site,the more blessed I feel,
that I never in 49 years, needed professional help,they don't
do much & very well at not much

The mechanic should have a data base to know if it is an
interference motor,not tell a customer things that upset you
& speculate

Look up the info & test,do something positive,like actually
road test a car with the customer driving

If they don't do that I would run

Check your drivers side front CV joints and make sure the dust covers aren't ripped or broken. You;ll also want to check to make sure part of your splash guard isn't rubbing against your tire.

if rear wheel drive it probly hase a chain or double gear system
if front wheel drive its probly a belt
for a definet answer go to a local auto motive store and provide then with the engine size ,year and model thy will be able to tell you for shur!

get them repaired ??

Dor handal hase a smal sensor for alarm , put your key in it and turn(open) it shud help

my 91 had a similar problem early in the year..... mechanics replaced some chip in my car that did not tolerate sitting in heat very well. very common in these models, my mechanic told me especially since my car would do the whole initial purring thing, just not completely start......

check your tail pipe for a "clog" engine not breathing correctly.
