Change frequency setting to 60hz from the option of graphic setting using another monitor then agin connect your problematic monitor.
step1.open properties on desktop using right mouse click.
step 2.goto last tab (setting)
step3.goto advance optinion
step 4.goto third tab(monitor)
and there is option of frequency change it to 60hz save it and press enter.
now shutdown computer then connect your screen goes monitor check it.hope it works.
when screen black its mean the range of signal frequency higher then compatible frequency.

Hello

I hate that.
Try this reboot pc and tap f8 key while rebooting, choose start in safemode as your option.

Once pc starts go to control panel, display advanced options and select default.Or 800x600

Reboot again, screen will probably not be what you want ,so re adjust again in control panel.

your monitor appears to be working. Do you see any kind of text after rebooting? Was a CD left in the drive?

Unplug the monitor data cable from the computer, it should nag you about NO SIGNAL

I just go a nw hp 2009m and I cant get it to work it clicks on for just a second then goes off It works fine on my other flat screen hanns g

Is your other flat screen bigger than the hp 2009m? If so, it may be set at a resolution that the new monitor isn't capable of hitting. Try changing your resolution before plugging it back in. That MAY work to help you. If it's not that, then for some reason it may just not be receiving an input signal from your computer. You may be able to remedy this by clicking the " MENU " button ON YOUR MONITOR, and selecting the " Change Input Signal "

I hope this helps you.
