Question about Kodak EasyShare M853 Digital Camera
It's a loose connection between the keyboard and motherboard or a broken keyboard cable. You can remove the back cover (remove front cover first) and check if the connection is not loose - there's a flexible key board glued to the internal frame - it may loose connection with the main board as key board cable's leads are from graphite - it's very cheap and unreliable solution, cables like these get damaged quite easily. If the cable is in the connector, looks OK, but the keys still won't work - the key board has to be replaced. It comes with the frame. If you feel like repairing it yourself, I can sell you a new frame with the key board. If not, contact your local Kodak service center or me at email@example.com
This is a well known problem with these cameras and I repair these every day as I work in a Kodak service center.
Hope this helps!
