No sound in a reformatted computer

Hi,

I recently reformatted my computer (acer ferrari 1000). I have done this before and am having the same problem as last time. I can only hear system sounds. Last time I think I only installed the driver from the manufacturer (realtek high def), but I cannot remember. I tried installing the driver from the manufacturer with no luck. There is also a yellow question mark next to the sm bus controller, and I have been unable to update the driver for this. It currently says I have no sound device. Any assistance would be GREATLY appreciated! Here is a belarc report of my system:
