I got sound to work in t60.
1. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/888111 ...click run
2. http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/MIGR-62928.html ...click the audio version to run or download
Now I don't know if the first step helped. But what I later realize was when I did step two. I thought it installed the drivers, but all it did was create a folder called Audio in C:\Drivers\Win I had to go into the Audio folder and run the set up program which run some type of sound manager audio stuff and wa-lah!

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

SOURCE: no sound after format. IBM LENOVO R60

Hi there,

I have been looking around on the internet, and it looks like that you might need the "right" driver
The specific driver for your models HDA isn’t supported out there :-).

You should visit this page and download the latest drivers.
