My Pixma MG5250 has run out of Cyan ink, how can i continue to print with just black ink?

With the canon single ink inkjet printers it is not possible to use only the black cartridges for printing. You will have to put a new cyan cartridge into the printer to continue printing.

I have problem with my HP business ink jet 2230. Problem is with cyan ink cartridge. I put new original cyan ink cartridge in printer, after that message is display "Attention cyan ink cartridge expired"....

hello sir, hi, the ink comes out from the ink cartridge to the ink cradle where the ink pass to the paper, this is clogged, need you to clean the ink cradle, you can use warm water to soften the dried ink.

I replaced an ink cartridge because the printer stopped working and showed a message that the old cartridge is empty. However after putting the new one in but the printer still refuses to work and shows...

maybe the cartridge is wrong, release it and clean the electrical contacts, put them again one by one, if notting happen, try this
Solution As the printer operates, it moves ink from the ink cartridges into a printhead reservoir. The printer does not deliver a message when an ink cartridge goes empty, because it still has ink in the reservoir. The printer continues printing until the ink level in the reservoir falls to a first trigger point - then a message appears advising the printer owner to Replace Cartridges Soon . At this point, other cartridges that are empty but have not reached the trigger point are also mentioned in the message, to save trips to the retailer. After the first trigger point, the printer can continue printing until ink levels in the reservoir reach a second trigger point. At the second trigger point there is only enough ink left to perform vital servicing tasks, and a new message appears, saying Ink Cartridges Empty . The options offered depend on the usable inks remaining. If no options are offered, the cartridges indicated must be replaced before printing can continue. The Ink Cartridges Empty options are described in the table below: Ink colors out Option Print mode possible All Cancel None Black

AND

Cyan, Magenta, or Yellow (any or all) Black only Continue with other colors Cyan/Magenta/Yellow mode (composite black)

Text and photo quality will differ from those printed when all colors are available Light Cyan or Light Magenta (either or both) Cyan, Magenta, or Yellow (any or all)

(Black still available) Print with black ink only Grayscale

Blue ink don't work, clean many time- next what?

Have you been using the internal test page to check to see if the cyan is working? If not, press the ink button and print out the test page. If there is cyan, there is something wrong with your driver, reinstall it.

Have you been using refilled cartridges? If you have, kiss your printhead goodbye. Go buy a new machine.
If not, does the ink in your cyan cartridge go down when you do the cleaning? If it does not go down, there is either a massive clog in the cyan ink tube, or the cyan portion of the print head, or the purge unit is not working.

You will have to take the unit apart and check the tube. If it is not clogged, you'll have to get someone technically skilled to take the purge unit out and check it, as well as the print head. The price of these units is so low, don't pay more than $45 to repair it.
