Question about Dell Optiplex GX110 (2909T) Motherboard
I got a desktop dell free from a yard sale, model DCM Optiplex GX110,windows 2000. I boot it up and it goes into asking for password from the DOS. I press the F2 for system set up, I unplugged the hard drive, disk drive, and floppy, also changed the memory cards but it still asks. It must be in the mother board. How do I constructively repair just to start it up or what do I need to do to bypass the bootup password window please?
To clear CMOS RAM, turn off the machine, and place jumper W2 on pins 2-3. Wait five seconds, then replace it on pins 1-2. DO NOT TURN ON THE MACHINE WHILE W2 IS SET ON 2-3 BECAUSE THIS CAN DAMAGE THE SYSTEM BOARD. If that doesn't work then pull the cmos battery insert it upside down and wait a few and reverse

Near the hard drive plug on the motherboard there is a jumper and next to it it should say PSWD. Remove the jumper and the password is gone.
