My usb file ntfs was changed to raw. how can i solve it?

I have experieced of formatting the USB drive from a new way, and it was sucessful,
>plug in your USB,
>Restart ur PC,
>Boot From XP bootable CD
>follow the instructions upto the step when you have to choose a drive to install the new windows.
>select removable media, and press D for deleting the partition,
>than make new partition at same time,and than format it in NTFS or FAT file systems.
Hope ur problem will be resolved.

When you say try to convert, you mean reformat from fat32 to NTFS? Depending on the size you may not be able to write it as a NTFS. Also, if you have anything on it you want to save, you need a raw recovery tool Squidoo has a good one.
However, if it won't let you format to anything and keeps reverting to raw, most likley your drive is damaged beyond normal repair.

Hard Drive RAW System
Run diagnostics on the drive it may be failing. If it's ok you can try to reformat it from Windows Disk Management.

My pen drive is in RAW file system, I ca'nt open or format it.
Try to get a software called parted magic. its linux based and you should easily format the pen drive.
U can also try HP USB Disk Format Tool.

Formatting the pendrive
Plug it into another usb socket and you should find it works, Sometimes usb sockets and drives can become corrup.. by right when you reboot you machine it will revert back to normal

FRAGMENTED FILES IN DRIVE
Make sure ur hdd is RAW format.To change it from RAW to NTFS is dificult.Take that hdd and put on another pc and make it as SLAVE remove all jumpers and go to the MENAGMENT CONSOLE.Firs make it ad primary then delte .After that make it as LOGICAL DRIVE AND DELTE IT AGAIN.Again make it as PRIMARY AND FORMAT IT.I THINK IT SHOULD WORK.Let me know if u got help?
