Hi...
There are several ways to fix this problem, we need to check first the parts before we do a hard troubleshooting. Check this parts first.
Inspect the drain hose for kinks
Test the timer control
Test the lid switch(some models)
Inspect the water pump
Inspect the driver belt(belt drive only)
Inspect the motor coupler
Those are the parts that we need to check
If your
washer doesn't spin or pump water out but the motor is running, your
washer probably has a frozen pump pulley. If so, you need to replace
the pump. To check the pulley, remove the pump from the washer and try
to rotate the pulley manually. If it doesn't turn freely--if it's
frozen or stiff--replace it.
Good luck !

This happened with ours.
I can't remember where I found the directions to do this, but there is a drain filter that became clogged from a small throw pillow that I washed that fell apart.
First of all, make sure you have UNPLUGGED the machine. We placed a 2x4 board under the front to raise it a little off the floor so we could see what we were doing. First, take off the lower front panel by removing the two screws near the floor on the front. Inside the machine, just to the right, you will see a black corrugated large round "hose." This is connected at the top and the bottom by spring clamps and by a screw type large round clamp where the water drains from the machine. You have to take all three of these off to remove the large corrugated drain hose. PUT A TOWEL UNDER THIS BECAUSE WATER WILL COME OUT!!! We just used a pair of pliers and a phillips screwdriver. Just be careful with this hose, because if you put a hole in it, you'll have to get a new one!
Inside of this large hose, there is a small plastic trap on the inside. If you stick your fingers inside, you can pull this trap out. Ours was completely clogged. We removed the lint stuck in it, rinsed out the black corrugated hose, put the trap back inside, assembled it all back together (much harder than taking it apart!) and VOILA! It drained and spun out perfectly.
Hope this helps!
